Stable Cottage, Cosy Devon Retreat for Couples or Small Families with Indoor heated Pool, Tennis Court, Direct Access to the Tarka Trail for cycling

Lovely quiet location. Nice swimming pool which we often had to ourselves! Friendly hosts who were happy to help wherever possible. There are no shops nearby so ordered a Tesco delivery with no issues. Accommodation is rustic and comfortable. There is a hand made swing for the children to have a play on. It is a working sheep farm and we loved visiting the sheep 🙂

There was no shower in our cottage, just a bath. It is basic accommodation and a little dated but comfortable and had everything we needed. You will need a car - the nearest town is a 10 minute drive away. It would be great if there was either a small on-site shop or a mobile shop for the basics.

Peace, quiet, and the overall energy was lovely. Cozy feel, comfortable beds and everything we needed in the cupboards. The flowers everywhere in front of our cottage created a very pleasant surroundings to return to each afternoon. Lambs baaing in the distance, the view from our car spot looking over the rolling hills. The most polite, friendly little doggies, tails wagging in welcome and not one bark. Very clean, they left the spiderwebs very, very high up and out of the way,... and we were impressed to find the spider did a fantastic job by swiftly catching a scary wasp that found its way into our cottage on the first day!

Property was clean, access to the pool was great.

Heating hadn’t been turned on so when we arrived at 5pm with a 2 year old and 4 year old to a freezing cold cottage we were disappointed. It also took a long time to heat up! Kids were in the bedroom and me and my husband had the sofa bed a which as very uncomfortable ! Ended up sleeping on the floor the second night!
