About this lodge
Tokomaru Bay is a small, friendly community situated on the East Coast 100km from Gisborne. It's special because it remains untouched. Stranded in Paradise is situated in the middle of the bay on an elevated private site. Stunning sea views can be seen all over the site from the main lodge, cabins and tent sites. Rated by Lonely Planet as one of three top picks in Gisborne Napier region. Come and enjoy a relaxed holiday with a group of friends or family. Cook together on the BBQ or in our fully equipped kitchen, visit our Cafe 35 for the famous paua pies or have a drink overlooking the Bay at the Puka Tavern. Horse treks and hiking in neighboring bays and ranges are recommended .

Please note that the Lodge is designed to maximise views and so cabins are a short walk to facilities. The lofts in the main house are accessed via steep stairs and beds are on mezzanines. You need to be reasonably active to use these for sleeping. There are no ensuites and have composting toilets.
Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;

Awesome lodge which really lives up to the term 'eco' in that it is genuinely eco-friendly and doing what we all should be doing to avert the kind of climate catastrophes that so regularly affect Te Tai Rāwhiti and Aotearoa in general now.

Thankyou again for letting us stay. What a gorgeous part of the country and the perfect mix of isolation but with a quality 4 Square down the hill. Apologies for the breakage, please forward me the bill. But honestly this break was lkng overdue and exactly what we needed. Thankyou. (PS, my two mini schauzers enjoyed it too)
