Outstanding location at the south-eastern part of the Island of Rügen. Lovely, quiet surroundings with a little church, small art gallery and gastro-pub with in-house brewery nearby. Very friendly, helpful owners live on site in this beautiful, historic villa. Easy off-street parking. Splendid walks and cycle routes on the doorstep. Our first floor flat was well equipped and very tidy albeit the access via an outside spiral staircase can be a bit of a challenge for older folks. Shopping at Aldi/Lidl/Netto just a few miles away. Good access to the rest of the island by road, bus service and the narrow-gauge Island Railway.
Everything fine, but ask for the other flat or the garden house if you don't like/can't handle spiral stairs easily.

What a wonderful place and what a wonderful couple who run it. Very welcoming and kind hosts. Clearly caring very much for their lovely apartment. Tastefully decorated, clean and by all accounts the interior looks brand new/fresh. Fascinating and very interesting history as well, going back all the way to grim times of the (recent) past. Highly recommended.
