Corfu Downtown

We had looked for a place to stay downtown. We had found other places but canceled them when we found this one. The reviews were mostly good. But I believe this is one of the best places. It was quiet, the air conditioning worked well, The Host Antony was in constant communication with us. The location was in a walking only area of old town. The taxi driver let us off about a block and a half away from the location. Our host came out and met us when we were close to the property. It's in walking distance from a number of very good places to eat one of the beaches and to just hang out. My 15-year-old son was very happy that he had his own room to sleep in. For the price you can't beat the value. There are many more expensive places just outside of old town but we decided that this was the best for us. It was in walking distance to the bus station, the taxi station, so if we wanted to we could have gotten rides almost anywhere. Antony recommended places to go and things to see. Communicating through the WhatsApp program was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The only issue which really it was not an issue for us was walking up the stairs to the room. There is no elevator. But for us it was just good exercise. The beds were very flat, they were not the plush high class five star hotel beds. But we slept okay on them maybe because we didn't stay in the room the whole day and actually walked around and we're pretty well exhausted by the time we got back. I'm still able to walk upright. So once again no problem for us.

Era muy céntrico y la atención personalizada al llegar. Las dos habitaciones climatizadas y que tienes tiendas al salir por la puerta y el bus 15 te deja muy cerca si vienes del aeropuerto.

Es un tercero sin escalera. Una botella de agua en la nevera se necesita al llegar en verano.

Dies war bereits unser sechster Besuch auf dieser wunderschönen Insel, die wir inzwischen von Norden bis Süden sehr gut kennengelernt haben. Deshalb möchten wir in dieser Bewertung ausschließlich auf die Unterkunft eingehen. Alles in einem - wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Zweizimmerwohnung liegt mitten in der Stadt, mit einem Supermarkt direkt nebenan (sogar sonntags geöffnet) und dem Zentralmarkt in nur etwa fünf Gehminuten Entfernung. Der Check-in verlief reibungslos – Antony hat uns persönlich empfangen und alles erklärt. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und verfügt über eine Klimaanlage in beiden Zimmern, was bei den über 35 °C während unseres Aufenthalts unverzichtbar war. Die Küche bietet alles Nötige zum Kochen, das geräumige Badezimmer ist komfortabel und mit einer Waschmaschine ausgestattet. Die beiden Balkone haben wir hauptsächlich zum Trocknen unserer Badesachen genutzt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Antony als Gastgeber: Er war jederzeit erreichbar, hat fehlende Dinge noch am selben Tag gebracht und war auch bei einem Stromausfall innerhalb von 15 Minuten vor Ort und konnte das Problem schnell beheben. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Ein wichtiger Hinweis: Die Wohnung befindet sich im 3. Stock und das Gebäude verfügt über keinen Aufzug. Für Gäste mit eingeschränkter Mobilität oder Schwierigkeiten beim Treppensteigen könnte dies relevant sein. Da die Wohnung sehr zentral liegt, kann es nachts durch die vielen Menschen auf der Straße etwas lauter werden. Uns hat das jedoch nicht gestört, da wir wegen der Hitze ohnehin mit geschlossenen Fenstern und eingeschalteter Klimaanlage geschlafen haben.

Location was great.

There is no where to sit and relax except the bedrooms on office chairs. No way to attach the shower head to the wall.
