Plakias paradise

We had a wonderful 5 week stay at Plakias Riviera. Our apartment was modern, beautifully decorated and furnished and well equipped with everything you need to self cater if you choose. The garden and swimming pool area is a calming oasis. Elena and Alex are the perfect hosts, with lots of local knowledge and recommendations, nothing is too much trouble. A few minutes walk to cafes, restaurants and shops, this was our perfect stay in Plakias.

Fantastic (maybe the best?) place to stay in Plakias

It's a pleasure to review Plakias Riviera. The apartment was great - newly built, spotlessly clean, and we even had a jacuzzi bath tub in the terrace :-) the location is also great - both quiet and central, with a minute's walk to the beach, tavernas and supermarkets, yet in a quiet side street. The real jem though is the hostess Elena, which made us feel like we're at home. Without requesting, she sat with us to list and explain all points of interest. Where to eat and shop - and to the finest details, like ease of approach to some places, or where to go if it's windy. Apart from that, she spoiled us with a local, self produced wine, and even gave us a jar of self produced excellent honey for the return journey. So thanks Elena - you made our stay great!

Best choice in Plakias

Location is very convenient with all restaurants and shops within few minutes walk. Parking was right at the entrance not crowded (off season though). Cleaning service was every day which is not that common when you rent apartment as well as beach towels were available. Beds were super comfy. Pool area was wonderful with running river sound and lots of plants. Plakias beach was way bigger that we expected, Kalypso beach was right behind the corner 😆 Very pleasant and helpful hosts. Provided sort of the briefing when we arrived with a handy map and places to visit around. Not to mention all the eatable presents we received - amazing experience. All the time we felt like somebodys taking care of us.

Amazing hosts and fantastic

The location was absolutely perfect, just off the beach and we loved how clean and comfortable the rooms were. Helena and Alex were amazing hosts. They were so welcoming and helped us make the most of our stay in Plakia showing us the nearby beaches and dropping us off at the nearby horse school so our daughter could go for a ride. I’d absolutely recommend this friends and family and would love to return.

This place deserves 11 out of 10. The apartment has exceeded our expectations and meeting beautiful people as Elena and Alexandr was the highlight of the trip. Now looking back we wished we had booked the apartment for longer. So what we liked: the apartment itself is all new, clean, spacious, made with love, with high quality materials and attention to the details. The bed sheets, the towels, everything has a feeling of a 5 star hotel. And as it was a 2 bedroom apartment, 4 people could easily live there. That makes the price of it nearly unbeatable. Elena and Alexandr were always there if we had any questions or needed any help. They treated us as a part of their family. I feel that to meet people like this is a treasure in itself. Location is great, just a few steps away from the beach and main street but still very quiet with a lot of privacy and lush greens around. Plakias is a good location to stay for a holiday as it has all the necessary infrastructure: supermarkets, small shops, cafes and restaurants. The local beach is also very nice: with clear water, shallow and sandy, so it is fun to swim and play . The nature around is very beautiful and there is a lot to explore by foot, beautiful walks and hikes. And if one has a car (or with a 6euro taxi), in 5 minutes drive there are 3 more VERY beautiful smaller beaches within reach. So we would recommend Plakias as a spot to stay and when in Plakias, Plakias Riviera is (in our opinion) the best choice.

Wonderful Apartment

Nicely appointed and upgraded, tastefully decorated, modern two bedroom apartment, named “Eva”, yes that’s what the owners refer to this particular apartment as. Very roomy and comfortable and with two separate large patios, marble floors throughout , private entry, even a clothes washing machine inside the unit. Oh, and two full bathrooms.! We were just one couple, but this is one of few apartments we’ve rented in Greece where I would have been comfortable sharing with another couple. But with just two persons we had his and her toilets, my wife I’m sure appreciated that! I think apartment home is actually a fair description. Love to rent this place again. The hosts, Elena and Alexandros, took the time to have a great map of the area printed up and they took the time to explain the highlights of the area and made lots of recommendations. Kind of over the top compared to many other accommodations we’ve stayed at all over Greek islands. Strongly recommend!

The only things this place didn’t have was a sea view or a pool, but that did not detract from our stay whatsoever, since it was only a hundred meters or so to the sea shore at Plakias Bay and so we enjoyed the sea view and swimming all we wanted !

Super holiday.

Amazing hosts Elena and Aleksandros make your holiday absolutely comfortable. Extra clean new accommodation where you can find everything you need. Good location close to the centre of Plakias, beaches and tavernas. This is place whery you want come back definitely. Elena helps with any request. Try their welcome gifts -olive oil, raki and if you lucky- amazing greek traditional homemade meals and wines. Didn't want to leave.

An old school building recently renovated with modern look and facilities, 5 min walk from the center and the beach of Plakias. Our hosts were wonderful and friendly, providing us with many tips during our stay. Definitely will come again in the future!

Naprosto perfektní ve všech ohledech! Moderní, velký, komfortní, dobře vybavený apartmán, výborné místo - v klidném místě 100m od promenády se supermarkety a restauracemi. Velká a velmi pohodlná postel a povlečení. Velká koupelna s dobrou sprchou. Velký balkón s výhledem do zahrady a na bazén. Příjemná zahrada s bazénem a lehátky k lenošení v naprostém klidu a soukromí. Místo na zaparkování hned za brankou. Neskutečná majitelka - na cokoliv si vzpomenete, zajistí. Dá tipy kam se podívat a jak se tam dostat. Je libo kávovar anebo ručníky na pláž, není problém, donese. Ovoce a víno na přivítanou. Ze všech ubytování na Krétě za poslední tři roky absolutně nejlepší!

Piccola oasi di ospitalità.

Location perfetta a solo 1 minuto a piedi dal “centro” di Plakias e a massimo 20 minuti da diverse spiagge. Ottima base per visitare più luoghi nei dintorni. Siamo stati accolti da Elena, che con la sua organizzazione impeccabile ci ha subito messi a nostro agio. Il suo motto: All you need 🏝️!! Suo marito Alex ci ha dato i migliori consigli su cosa vedere e dove mangiare, come la spiaggia accanto a Preveli per raggiungibile quest’ultima con una breve camminata) o la splendida Souda, frequentata più da locali che da turisti. Una sera ci hanno fatto assaporare la vera ospitalità greca offrendoci un ottimo raki (o meglio, tsikudià). Il nostro appartamento era un ampio bilocale, con cucina abitabile separata dalla camera da letto. La cucina era ben attrezzata e c’era persino la lavatrice. Se manca qualcosa, basta chiedere a Elena: ha un “magazzino” in stile Mary Poppins! Una menzione speciale va al letto, davvero comodissimo: abbiamo dormito come bambini. Che bella vacanza, Elena & Alex… so lovely! A presto!

Un logement et des hôtes en or

Nous venons de passer un séjour au Plakias Riviera et franchement, difficile de faire mieux ! Parlons d’abord d’Elena : le genre d’hôtesse qui mérite une médaille olympique de la gentillesse (et je pèse mes mots !). Toujours un sourire, toujours prête à rendre service, à veiller à ce qu’on ne manque de rien… Chaque jour, une petite attention dans l’appartement : on a failli devenir accro au concept ! Et puis, il y a Alexandros, le roi des bons plans ! Grâce à ses conseils avisés, on a découvert des coins magnifiques (et du raki local, mais chuuut…). Bref, la soirée passée en leur compagnie était tellement sympa qu’on aurait voulu la rallonger de quelques heures… ou jours. L’appart ? Franchement, c’est le grand luxe du bord de mer ! Deux chambres nickel, chacune avec sa propre salle de bains – donc zéro crêpage de chignon le matin pour la douche (et puis, avec les produits fournis et les serviettes toutes douces, on aurait presque envie d’y passer la journée). L’air conditionné fonctionne tellement bien qu’on oublie qu’on est en Crète, et le frigo… ah, le frigo ! Il est immense, avec un compartiment surgélateur parfait pour stocker glaces, glaçons… et pourquoi pas quelques souvenirs liquides du coin. Vraiment, tout y est : confort, espace, équipement… Côté pratique : plage, commerces, restos… Tout est à 3 minutes à pied ! Franchement, tu peux oublier la voiture (et le stress du parking), ici tout est à portée de tongs ! Si vous cherchez un endroit où on se sent (presque) mieux qu’à la maison, avec des hôtes en or… foncez au Plakias Riviera ! PS: Les photos du logement sont fidèles à la réalité ;-)

Quelle bête question: rien, tout est fait pour que vous soyez mieux qu'à la maison. Ah si, le fait de devoir quitter le logement à la fin des vacances

Es war das schönste Apartment, das wir je in Griechenland hatten!

Sauber, geschmackvoll, viel Platz, toll ausgestattet (großer Kühlschrank, viel Geschirr, schönes Badezimmer, Waschmaschine,…), super Lage… Und die Gastgeber sind so lieb! Elena und Alex sind ganz herzliche und aufmerksame Gastgeber!

Huone oli LOISTAVA ❤️ Pimennysverhot huoneissa,eli ei paistanut aurinko silmään aamulla. Sängyt todella mukavat. Pyykinpesukone, sai kivasti pestyä hikiset vaatteet. Keittiö tarvikkeet erinomaiset. Paikka rauhallisella alueella,mutta lähellä Plakiaksen rantakatua. En voi kyllin kehua tätä paikkaa ja vaikka yleensä Kreikassa emme yövy samoissa paikoissa niin tänne palaamme varmasti❤️

Indimenticabile Creta

Struttura pulitissima e rinnovata nella bella località di Plakias nel sud di Creta. Abbiamo soggiornato per qualche giorno nella stanza “Eva” che è quella con due camere, due bagni e la Jacuzzi privata nel terrazzino. Stupendo! La location è superba sia per esplorare le spiagge vicine (non mancate Preveli) che per l’avventura con il trekking nelle gole. Incredibili i padroni di casa Elena e Alex che hanno saputo rendere piacevolissima la permanenza con le loro indicazioni e simpatia.

Gute Lage und super-sauber

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche im nach der Gastgeberin benannten Apartment „Elena“. Es liegt sehr schön nahe an einem vorbeifließenden Bach, den man in der ansonsten recht ruhigen Nacht leise glucksen hörte. In den Ort und an den Strand sind es nur ein paar Schritte. Mückengitter an allen Türen schützten vor Insekten. Alles funktionierte gut. Die Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet und war ungewöhnlich sauber, zudem wurde sie an fast allen Tagen gereinigt, auch neue Handtücher gab es zwischendurch. Elena und Alex waren sehr freundlich, es gab einige kostenlose Lebensmittel und Tipps für die Umgebung.

Einmal gab es nachts ein Erdbeben, aber das ist natürlich nun wirklich nicht Schuld der Vermieter und wurde auch nicht thematisiert.
