Palazzo San Giovanni Amalfi Coast

This B&B was absolutely stunning — truly one of the highlights of our road trip through Italy. The room was modern, beautifully designed, and had a spectacular view. Breakfast was amazing, and we loved sitting outside each morning, taking in the scenery. The pool was fantastic: very clean, well maintained, and a perfect place to relax. The location is excellent too — only about 15 minutes by bus to Amalfi, and there are three great restaurants/bars just a short walk away. Highly recommend. The staff were incredibly friendly and made our stay even better.

For a first time visitor to the Amalfi Coast, figuring out how to get to the hotel from Amulfi was a bit of a challenge. We took the bus to Scala, which was far away from the resort, And then had to taxi over to the resort which is technically in Pontone. Knowing which bus to take would have been helpful.

Very comfortable and spotlessly clean hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The view from the terrace and pool area is beautiful. There are some very good restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

Not suitable for disabled travellers. There are 75 steps from the end of the road to the hotel (fewer if you opt to travel by bus but the stop is further away). The correct address is Pontone di Scala. Scala is on the opposite hillside.
