About this house rental
Welcome to The Dog House! We have a pet- and family- friendly townhouse set up for frequent travelers. It’s comfortable and well-appointed, with an eclectic mix of antiques and brand-new furniture, steps away from key attractions that bring people to Old Town Alexandria, Washington DC, and National Harbor. Here, you will enjoy all the comforts of home. The fully equipped kitchen includes oven, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker. Small appliances include blender, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The Dog House has wifi, Cable TV, and board games. There is also a washer and dryer if you need to get some laundry done while you are here.
With ample living space and a patio on the main level and two bedrooms upstairs, it’s easy living for families or people with differing schedules. The master bedroom has a queen bed with closet and dresser. The second bedroom has two twin beds with closet and dresser.
Capital Bikeshare, District Taco, gourmet coffee, convenience store, and Balducci’s: all within 1 block. Easy access to: Downtown DC (about $20 Uber ride,) ~20 min walk to Metro; Convenient to DCA; 6 blocks to King St.; 4 blocks to the historic GW parkway and Potomac River recreation path. Easy access to I-95. Perfect headquarters for a visit to the Nation's Capital.

We stayed at Dog House for a short staycation. It's in a great location, we were able to walk many places. Our dog loved the relatively quiet walks and the dog bed downstairs. The house is beautiful and felt very comfortable for two people and a pup. We're looking forward to visiting again!

The house is so cute! It is well laid out and cozy-comfortable. It’s well located for getting into DC, cycling trails, and close to downtown. Walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Loved our stay in Alexandria! The house seemed small at first but had such charm and fantastic amenities and we ended up loving the cozy layout. The catwalk on the second story was a little scary for our mini poodle haha. For those with children or very small dogs you may want to bring baby gates. The home is only a 20min walk to old town which was a really neat place to walk around. Parking was available on the street right outside the property and we had no issues parking any time. The host was also very responsive and was able to accommodate an early check in for us. The beds were very comfortable too and the shower was amazing! Would stay here again for sure
