Here’s a polished, celebratory rewording of your review that keeps all the lovely details but flows more smoothly and enthusiastically:
We arrived on Thursday 8/1/26, having booked a few nights to celebrate my birthday, and from the moment we arrived we knew it was going to be special. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the whole setting felt immediately serene and relaxing.
We were lucky enough to be there during snowfall, which made the experience absolutely magical. We hadn’t planned a strict itinerary as we wanted a few days to truly relax, and this was the perfect place to do just that. There are so many beautiful places to walk the dogs – the golf course covered in snow was breathtaking, and trips into the village to see the river and McNabb Cemetery were a real highlight. The walks around the park where the lodge is located were stunning, and the waterfall we overlooked was simply beautiful.
The lodge itself was fantastic – spotlessly clean, well equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The large bathroom was a real luxury with a walk-in shower, double sinks, and a sauna, which was our first experience and something we absolutely loved. The bedroom was well equipped with a TV, iron, hairdryer, and everything you could need. The kitchen was clean and fully equipped, and the living room was cosy and welcoming, again with a TV and a lovely warm atmosphere despite the poor weather outside.
The patio area deserves a special mention – it was absolutely stunning, looking out over the waterfall and into the forest. At night, hearing the owls was just magical and added to the peaceful, almost other-worldly feel of the place. The roads were also very well maintained, so the snow caused no issues at all.
Although the village was quiet due to it being off-season, there was still a Co-op, a pharmacy, and a few other places open, which was more than enough as we mainly used the lodge as our base.
Honestly, there was nothing not to like — our entire experience was exceptional from start to finish

The bed was massive & very comfy . Lodge great size for 2 people & a pet . Very near the golf course .bonus .as im a keen golfer . Scenery to die for . .
The sauna temp was off . As the sauna never reached the desired temp .so we could not use it .which was disappointing. .apart from that the loge was fantastic .also the WiFi reception is terrible. Which is to be expected being in the hills

The cabin is perfectly located, with a charming mini waterfall right outside and surrounded by peaceful woodlands. It’s just a short drive to the main village of Killin. We especially loved the in cabin sauna — a wonderful bonus to our stay. Glenda one of the owners is lovely and has the best chat.
The cabin shows noticeable signs of wear and would greatly benefit from some care and maintenance. The most significant issue we encountered was a strong damp smell. Thankfully, we had scented candles with us and were able to keep the windows open for ventilation. It’s also worth noting that towels are not provided—you’ll need to bring your own or pay an additional fee to include them in your booking. Given the price, towel service should really be included.

The location was great. The view of the waterfall was nice.
It’s a bit run down on the outside.
The living area smelled strongly of dog. Unsure if it’s because of a previous booking combined with the wet weather but the sofa throws smelled as well.

The lodge is on a small site away from the local town of Killin. The shower room was modern with a walk in shower, two sinks and a separate toilet. The bed was very comfortable (Queen Size). The location is very quiet. To one side of the lodge is decking and then a small stream which runs down the hillside.
The lodge has central heating and was very warm when we needed it.
Whilst the kitchen is reasonably well equipped but there is limited cutlery / crockery. eg two cereal Bowles, three cups, two teaspoons etc. It would really benefit from more. There is a dishwasher but due to the lack of crockery you would need to switch it on at least a couple of times a day. More kitchenware would save on energy and water as you could fill the machine up during your stay and then just switch it on when you start to run out.
There is a seperate charge for gas/electricity which was £4.50 a day. This amount is collected during your stay. The fact that we paid £434 for three nights stay I would have expected this cost to be included. As a comparison the large hotel at the side of the river in the village was charging £189 for a double room for two people for the same duration.

The area is stunning. The site is gorgeous as well. Each cabin is secluded within the site which is amazing.
No clothes washing facilities available on site that we knew off or was made aware off. We did not see any staff or management on site and all communication was done through email and phone calls. The decking are at our cabin could be cleaned and maybe power washed or blown clean with a leaf blower. Also the door surrounds out side could be made a little more presentable.

Perfectly located cute little cabin. All things needed are there. Never been to a cabin this clean! exceptional :)! host is super friendly!
the only little thing that we didn’t like was that there was no option to smoke a cigarette dry. (our own nasty habit, I know) but we are smokers.

Location, views, cabin was beautiful.
Wi-Fi was poor, so couldn't watch a wee movie at night as no option to cast netflix or prime. Bluetooth to hi-fi was intermittent so no music either. Had to pay extra for towels.

This was our first visit to Scotland and what a surprise. Water lodge was an absolute fab. Great location by Loch Tay. Woodlands and little streams around. The lodge by it self is very cosy and clean. Glenda is an awesome manager. She explained very clearly what to do and expect. Gave us a lot of advice and ideas what to visit and where to go for a good meal. Sauna in the lodge is a great experience. Also what is very important lodges are pet friendly. Overall, great place to stay. We already booked in for Christmas 😁
Not such a thing.

Location was tranquil and yet easy reach local amenities and walks. Sauna was a pleasant bonus. Well equipped kitchen.
Furniture dated and a bit uncomfortable in the lounge.

The Waterfall Lodge was beautiful. Located in such an idyllic place and brilliant for getting away from everything. The facilities were excellent, comfy bed, spacious living and kitchen area and of course the sauna was a huge bonus. All amenities are provided for in the kitchen and freesat on the TVs. The staff are lovely and available for anything you might need.
The WiFi wasn't available during our stay and after speaking to the staff it's known to be intermittent at the lodge. We definitely didn't miss it but would say to others not to rely on WiFi here.

Location was lovely by the waterfall, lodge itself was very comfortable, and area surrounding was peaceful and tranquil, nice exercise walking experience for four legged friends all areas very clean and tidy
Never met any staff during our stay, we phoned to let them know we had arrived, and enquired we were at correct premises.
Outside table had not been cleaned for some time, green coating on outer edge. We unfortunately did not have the best of weather, so something to wipe the non carpeted areas would have been beneficial, at our age hands and knees cleaning is not so easy. We personally would have preferred larger fridge, separate freezer rather than dishwasher. Otherwise everything else was very good
