I don't know where to start. The breakfast was heartwarmingly delicious. The pastries that were prepared melted in our mouths and we have no idea if we will ever again experience food that will measure up to those standards - only in Italy and at The Masseria Sacramento. Bravo! We loved the expansive balcony and the view of the olive groves, orange groves, and vineyards with Matera on the hill in the back drop. The room was incredible and spacious and the kitchenette was a welcomed amenity after a long drive and a bit of time to wait for dinner, we were able to prepare snacks and coffee to hold us over. The walks around the property and the animals on the grounds were wonderful. The swimming pool looked very inviting, however, when we were there in November, it was too chilly to swim. The staff was kind and accommodating while being especially patient with the language barrier and not knowing how to speak Italian.

Very nice location surrounded by olive trees. The food was very good, we had breakfast and dinner there. The apartament was very big, with a huge terase. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed the pool because it had a shallow part, perfect for our 2 year old daughter. There is a small place with animals. It was really nice to go there and ped the animals.
The biggest issue with the hotel is the communication and transparency. If you do not speak Italian, then it is impossible to communicate.
Also, I believe their biggest income is not the hotel itself, which only has 6 rooms, but rather the fact they are a venue location. They organize weddings for example, and unfortunately during the time we were there they organized a 3 evenings beer fest. They did not communicate this to us, either prior to the booking, but also not until we asked what they were arranging in the garden on the first day of the festival. It was only then they told us they they organize the beer festival, and that if we want to join, the entry is 10 euros (we were already in the hotel, way to make your guest feel welcome)..... When we asked what we will do about the music since the dance floor was exactly below our balcony, they told us they would provide ear plugs. Absolutely unbelievable with a 2 year old. When I asked what will I do with my daughter, put her ear plugs as well, they smiled awkwardly and said nothing... It was as we predicted, with loud music until 1 am, our kid slept with music bombing her room.
The fact that they do not publicize that they organize events on Booking.com is really outrageous. They say they are a family location, which is not true if you end up on a day when they have a wedding. I do not understand why they do not make this transparent, then only the people that do not have a problem with this will book...
The next day, we asked for our money back, we had 3 or 4 nights left. We were given the money back - not all of it, but fair enough, we did not go to booking.com to ask for the refund, it was directly from the owner. This happened after we were told that they do not have problems with any other guests and that it is our problem that we want to leave and do not appreciate the event.
