The hotel room was stinky and moldy and dirty. For the outrageous amount for only 2 nights it’s crazy that there is no proper place to eat from breakfast when they are hosting a conference. This used to be my favorite hotel as a child and now it’s a rundown joke.
8.0 / 10.0
Many areas to explore, I like to walk , the hotel is in a great location
It was ok
5.0 / 10.0
The room was big and the bed was comfortable. The staff seem adequate.
The room was a bit run down and dirty, and the aircon was noisy. It was a 15 minute walk to the parking lot. The check-in starts late at 4pm and the room was not ready. Lots of people are standing in line and/or waiting around in the arrival area for a room. Check-out is early-10am in the morning. So, if you stay for two nights, you only really get to enjoy the pool for a day. For a large property, there was not a lot of restaurants to choose from.

The property looks pretty
-It’s too spread around,
-There are no beaches in the property,
-If you are going to have a fun time,
-this hotel has no fun unless you are a family with kids and the clubs are 40min away.
- mostly everything that I isn’t a coffee shop doesn’t open until 11:00am.
-if you pre pay for breakfast it’s a continental breakfast that does not worth the money.
- if you pay for the breakfast buffet at water edge you better eat 2 or 3 plates of food and hope that they have all items available when is your turn to eat because $55 it’s something.
- you need to make sure which area of this desert you are going to be placed because some of them are in decent locations but most of them will make you cry every time you have to go back to the room.
- and if you happen to visit and the train station isn’t working I would ask for a refund and go to a cheaper hotel in Kona.

Location
Check was very slow, took a hour to check in, tram was not operating so had to drag luggage a long way to the check in area and then wait. Staff was very slow checking people in

Beautiful location, nice room.
Both boats and tram were broken down, A 15 minting walk each way to parking lot. Way too much walking.
Expensive food choices.

This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel and I would return again. Attentive staff, prime location, plus it's a true club with many amenities and entertainment.

The lagoon was lovely.
Tram could have been more regular

clean rooms, comfortable, updated
checkin lady at front was impatient and seemed burnt out. Had difficulty understanding here with thick accent and mumbling and she seemed annoyed I asked to repeat herself. Did not seem friendly or welcoming.

Due to an evening flight cancelation we were able to book a room at the Ocean Tower. The room was large and comfortable with a nice view of the grounds and partial view of the ocean. The hotel has a large footprint with different areas to explore. There is a tram that takes you to the different areas.
We had a later check out and stored our luggage until our flight out the next evening. The place is so large that we spent time in the conference centre lobby and the different beach areas until we had leave to catch our flight out
There was no coffee shop, and only 1 restaurant open (near the dolphin experience) due to it being low season

Location. Amenities. Staff.
Somewhat difficult to find things. More signage would be great.
7.0 / 10.0
The resort is very large, that’s why there is a tram that makes stops through out the property. I enjoyed how big and spaced out things were, makes it feel more exclusive and less crowded. The pools are big and have water slides for kids, there’s a man-made beach with access to the ocean and there are fishes and dolphins. It’s nice for a relaxing low energy vacation.
Everything is expensive. There are a few places to eat on the resort and everything is over priced. Also the fact that there’s nothing really in this area, it’s not close to any of the local towns so when it comes to eating there’s not many other options. There’s construction activity going on through out the property. They are renovating many of the rooms because they are outdated.

For this price, this was not worth it.
Although we have compiled a list, it was the cigarette smoke that bothered us the most. We paid for the ocean view room but could not sit outside. Someone was always smoking out there(although we couldn't figure out who).I called the desk 2x, but security only showed up once. We could actually smell it in our room one morning
~The shower water was warm, not hot.
~The lack of open restaurants for dinner. One overpriced Italian place and a sandwich place closed for food at 5pm.
~We saw only 1 dispenser of filtered water to refill our water bottles.
~They charge $5 each way/each person to shuttle you to the shopping about 3/4 of a mile away. It it was an easy walk, but the shuttle should be free.
~The only sit down breakfast option is an overpriced buffet.
~The cost for parking was more than we've ever seen at any resort.

Love the property
7.0 / 10.0
The staff were wonderful at the pool and Italian restaurant.
The ocean tower is on the far end so we either needed to walk or wait 15 min for the tram each time. At least the pools on that end are fun too! Facilities seem dated and not well maintained. There was a used bar of soap in our shower, eww.

Nice property, but of course super expensive.
Stayed in ocean tower, which is such a long way from the car park. Guests should be made aware of this. For the price, some glasses in the room would be nice- and better coffee tea making facilities.
5.0 / 10.0
The staff at the Ocean Tower especially the Manager and valet named Mason
The registration in lady at night staff, was horrible.
6.0 / 10.0
I have no complaints about any of the workers, there are some who are more eager to help compared to others, but all in all, they do their part to make the experience great. The valet here is amazing, so helpful, so generous and super quick. The tram operators are hit or miss (my mom is in a wheel chair), but assisted us with getting to where we needed to go.
The view is obviously what I paid for and it was lovely.
When i booked the hotel, the microwave was listed in the amenities. Come to find out that it is an add on for $30/a day, disappointing and misleading. The room itself is something from the 2000’s, very barren. I think they’re counting on you not being in the room for the trip. The cleanliness is fair, could recaulk some areas.
Cleaning service is fair, some days our towels were missed, others days not, not something thats too much of a big deal but i would like to note.
The price for the view of the ocean tower is worth it, but i fear thats all ur paying for in my opinion. Everything else is an upcharge which is disappointing for how much the hotel itself costs. The wifi in this area is also terrible, having to reconnect and resign in, such an annoyance. I also felt like the room was moist matter then temp, which i understand we are in a tropical environment… but still… i dont like get into a wet bed.
Also, this hotel is far from the parking area so u will have to take the tram which can be from 15-25 min trip.

Everything
The last time we stayed, we had a regular standard king size room. I wish that you guys would put a microwave in all of the rooms. It makes it a little bit more convenient to buy your own food to put in the microwave.
5.0 / 10.0
The reason we came was the outside areas, especially the lagoon. It’s simply stunning. Beautiful art amazing landscaping
Pretty much anything else, though it has gotten better, more restaurants open. Room was dated but looks like it’s getting renovated. Room amenities were dismal. Parking is literally ridiculous at $48! Dolphins need to leave, enclosure is too small and the time of having such attractions had gone.
7.0 / 10.0
Overall good. However the room needs a refurbishment. Scuffed and dented furniture. We stayed there few months ago and big difference between in quality.
8.0 / 10.0
Older room. Furniture showed wear. Parking permits misleading. Thought we paid for 24hr unlimited access in the fee.

It was a great stay! The Ocean Tower was great and was the right size unit for our four day stay. I would definitely recommend the resort to others and would come back again.

No evening music, or bars to get a drink at (Aug-Sept).

Everything closed very early at night, we really had to run several times to get to restaurants on time, the hotel is great however the family vibe to enjoy with children (we traveled as a couple with some friends without children) everything is very calm and quiet. There were few options near the hotel, a car is required to get around

Grounds were beautiful
too far to walk to anything. Food was generic. One restaurant a far walk away. No pool food or bar by Ocean Tower. The closest breakfast was a long walk and a basic egg omelette with potatoes was $27.00.

beautiful, vast property with lots of room to walk
Check in was a nightmare; after long day, had to park and schlep bags approx 3/4 mile to check in at “ocean tower”. (those waiting didn’t make it before me-in fact long after I was in. i was given worst, smelly room on property. They were kind enough to give me new room. My flight left 9pm (after checkout)No employee could answer a question, be it shower or what to do with towel which required a key?
Pools and hot tub lovely, but SO chlorinated, eyes sting! Pool nearest room was closed
paid a TON of $$ for <20 hours, most of which I spent trying to navigate the maze/rude or at least unhelpful employees
9.0 / 10.0
Location is very nice.
It looks like booking.com has bad data transfer from itself to Hilton hotel chain that gave incorrect room information. I had to asked the front desk to manually changed it to room type I booked.
