Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge by NATURE LODGES LTD

We absolutely loved our stay at this Lodge. The setting was just gorgeous - on an escarpment overlooking the Kazinga Channel in well maintained grounds with paths, gardens, trees and hidden nooks with garden seats to admire the view. We stayed in one of the deluxe permanent tents and it was really lovely - huge kingsize bed, mosquito netting, separate bathroom with loo and vanity, plus a twin outdoor shower and a little verandah with chairs and a table to admire the view. But it was the staff that really stood out - very relaxed, cheerful, happy to engage and tell you all about the area and the Lodge. We had full board and the food was tasty and plentiful. Our dinner was in the open by the open fire (on which the soup was kept warm) under the stars. Absolutely gorgeous. A highlight was a hippo walking straight past us at dinner time (only about 10 metres away). The guest areas were very well set out - three separate large tents for dining and loung areas, though if the weather is fine, dinner is always outdoors under the stars. There were hippos and elephants directly below the lodge in the channel. The sunset was amazing from the lodge and the drinks were ultra cheap. We stayed in many lodges and champs during our two week Uganda trip and QE Bush Lodge was not only the cheapest lodge we stayed in but also one of our absolute favourite experiences. Would happily return!

The lodge itself was beautiful. When you wake up, you can see elephants across the channel drinking the water, it is amazing. The room is huge and you have the shower outside (you’re both bathed in water and sunlight). At night, you hear the hippos, it is marvelous. The food is really good as well.

Die Unterkunft liegt mitten im Queen Elizabeth Nationalpark, für uns war die Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge ein kleines Paradies, das wir nicht so schnell vergessen werden. Von unserem Bungalow aus konnten wir am anderen Ufer des Kanzinga-Kanals Elefanten beobachten. In der Siedlung gibt es Affen. Nilpferde waren zu sehen und zu hören. Näher kann man nicht an der Natur sein. Die Bungalows sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die eigenen Duschen im Freien hinter dem Bungalow sind ein Traum. Das Essen ist sehr gut und liebevoll zubereitet.

I had a wonderful stay at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The setting is absolutely beautiful surrounded by nature, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for relaxing and disconnecting, with views of the Kazinga channel. Waking up to the sounds of wildlife and enjoying the natural scenery was a highlight of the experience. The location is ideal for exploring the park and going on game drives. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist, and the overall service was good. The food was enjoyable, and the lodge provided a comfortable stay while still maintaining that authentic “in the wild” experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, nature-focused getaway with easy access to the park, this is a great choice.
