Nakupenda paje villa

The young man who acts as host, chef, cleaner and organiser - Ibrahim, is a real gem. He was warm, friendly and concerned for our wellbeing. He went out of his way to be accommodating. He was very friendly. The cleaner Zena, was also lovely. We did not see the manageress except for at check in when she was unable to suggest good restaurants in the area for us to try.

The facilities are basic. There was very little shelving in the room so for 6 nights we had to live out of our suitcases which was not ideal. The facility feels new and a little unfinished. But it met our needs. You do need to walk down some dusty roads and alleys to get to the beach. The town of Paje is very busy and motorbikes are a menace so walking is challenging. I was assured it was safe and it was for us. The beach is tidal so you cannot swim all the time. Very windy part of the island - kitesurfers love it!

Good location. Basic good breakfast.

Staffs hanging at the pool all the time to the point that there is no privacy for the guest. Room was small. No AC so it get’s hot from time to time. Mosquitoes because of the garden.
