About this apartment rental

You will find this cozy apartment in one of the outbuildings at Gankelhoeve farm. With your own kitchen and bathroom, and a half separated sleeping area you stay here in peace, just outside the village.
The area is wonderful for walking, within a few minutes you are in the center of 'the village of Roosevelt'.
From here you are within 15 minutes in the beautiful Marquis city Bergen op Zoom, or you are so on the beach, by the sea. Antwerp and Rotterdam can also be reached quickly in about 45 minutes by car.

In the adjacent barn there is also a meeting and training room, with accompanying garden, under the name Gankelhoeve.

Oud-Vossemeer is the village of Roosevelt, the ancestors of the Roosevelt presidents come from here.

Across the street is a playing field for dogs, fenced and with water supply.

Gankelhoeve is a Little Piece of Heaven

We arrived by train and Broekmeijer met us at the train station. Check-in a breeze. The on-line listing is 100+ accurate. Pleasantly spacious. Bed is sleepy time comfortable. Big windows for fresh air and sunshine to make their way into a Dutch storybook farmhouse. A welcome change from the hustle & bustle of Amsterdam. Cute kitchenette that we used as there is a good grocery shop within walking distance. Nicely decorated with traditional meeting modern. Access to washer if needed. Property owners are available should something need to be addressed or to say halo. Location is a countryside setting (and safe) near the idyllic Dutch village of Oud-Vossemeer where the family of the famous Roosevelts once called home. The property owners are a great team and family oriented, Oh! There is a wonderful Roosevelt Restaurant with delicious food, & good wines.. I would recommend having your own transportation to make getting around a bit easier but walking is so do-able. My daughter and I enjoyed our long walks, dinners, and visiting during our stay at Gankelhoeve. Thank you Annechien, and your husband for a truly memorable experience for Amira and myself and sharing your little piece of heaven.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön. Toll eingerichtet und ausreichend groß. Lage ist sehr gut. Wenn man draußen sitzt kann man aufs Feld gucken, man ist aber auch in ein paar Minuten in den Ort gelaufen. Für Ausflüge nach Brüssel oder an den Strand ebenfalls sehr gut geeignet. Die Vermieter sind super nett und der Check-In war absolut unkompliziert. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Es waren sehr schöne Ostertage in der sehr gut ausgestatteten Wohnung - alles da, was man braucht und alles perfekt sauber. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet! Es gibt viel zu Entdecken in der Umgebung, Spielplatz und Hundeplatz waren toll. Die Oosterschelde und auch das Meer sind nicht weit. Sowohl Empfang als auch Checkout waren sehr freundlich und problemlos :-) vielen Dank!

Von der Buchung bis zum Check-out hat alles sehr gut funktioniert. Wir sind freundlich empfangen worden und die Gastgeber sind sehr angenehm und herzlich. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht, inklusive Hundenapf, Kinderspielzeug und eine gute Auswahl an Büchern in verschiedenen Sprachen. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr geräumig und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und auch unsere Hündin hat den Aufenthalt genossen. Die Wohnung ist etwas abgelegen, eignet sich aber hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Der Ortskern ist fußläufig schnell erreichbar, dort gibt es einen Supermarkt und wir haben im Huys van Roosevelt sehr gut gegessen. Ein paar Schritte von der Wohnung entfernt gibt es einen gepflegten, komplett eingezäunten Hundespielplatz. Dort haben wir ein paar nette Menschen und ihre Hunde getroffen und hatten sehr viel Spaß. Unser Aufenthalt war leider nur über ein Wochenende, aber wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen!

Wir haben eine knappe Woche in Oud-Vossemeer verbracht und haben die Zeit in der Ferienwohnung genossen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Von Oud-Vossemer kommt man relativ schnell zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Zeeland und hat gleichzeitig eine schöne Zeit auf dem Land.

Alles was zoals het op de foto's eruit zag. Vriendelijk ontvangst. We waren graag wat langer gebleven maar, dat zat er niet in. Het appartement was schoon en uiterst compleet. Fijn verblijf gehad.

Rustige omgeving. Huisje op orde. Miste wat keukendingen maar verder alles aanwezig wat nodig was. Buiten zou iets leuker kunnen. Gastvrouw erg behulpzaam en aardig. Goede tijd gehad.

Wij hebben met wat vrienden dit verblijf gehuurd voor een weekje. Het is rustige plek waar niemand last heeft van harde muziek en luidruchtige mensen. De eigenaren zijn bijzonder vriendelijk ook bij onverwachte situaties. Voor een weekje weg van alles is het een prima verblijf!

Die geräumige Ferienwohnung ist modern eingerichtet. Es gibt Küchenutensilien und einen Gasherd, so dass man sich etwas kochen kann. Kaffeemaschine und Kaffeepads vorhanden. Sehr schön gelegen in dem Dorf Oud Vossemeer. Dort gibt es auch Restaurant und Supermarkt. Strände sind schnell erreichbar mit dem Auto und man kann schön an der Schelde wandern. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber.
