Cooking area was ok. Patio area was ok. Air conditioning was excellent.

Ants were a problem, although the host bought spray to help. Nowhere to put the rubbish and no collection, although the host did randomly turn up at 10.30pm to take our refuse away. There wasn’t enough cutlery, chairs and glasses for 4 people. Bedsheets were bobbly and bed linen was worn out. Be aware it’s cash only when you arrive - there is no card machine to pay. Communication was a problem because we did not speak Italian - we had to use translation apps to communicate with the host during face to face meetings, and there is limited wifi to use the translation app in the apartment. We specifically booked this apartment because of the bbq, but there were no cooking utensils and the bbq was dirty and rusty. Be aware that the apartment is out of town and a 30 minute walk from Cefalu’s beach clubs. There is no pavement along the road into town and you’ll need to use taxis. These are difficult to find and cost around €15 one way. There is no Uber. Cefalu itself is definitely worth a visit, but if you want sun beds, you have to hire these at a cost of €30 for 2. Parking in Cefalu is easy if you use the Easy Park app - around €19 per day.
