About this house rental
Note- This is a Sunday to Sunday rental. Contemporary home, located on a hill on 1/2 acre wooded lot on a dead-end street. The house is an 'upside-down' house with 2 large bedrooms and a bath on the first floor (not in the basement, the basement is another level down) and the master bedroom, bath and living room/kitchen/dining area on the second floor. The living room/dining/kitchen area has windows and sliding glass doors running the entire length of the space (about 38 ft) that lead out to a deck that has treetop views. The living area is one big open space with a soaring ceiling and a skylight. The house is very bright, and airy with large windows in all the rooms. Because the living space is up high it is very private, and the front glass wall makes it great for sunsets and star gazing. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed. There are two other large bedrooms - one with 1 sets of bunk beds (1 singles) and 1 queen, the other with a double bed.

We enjoyed the feeling of being up in the treetops; the decks are spacious & great for listening to the myriad voices of birds. The location of the tv was inconvenient so we didn’t watch it at all, so we spent more time outside and with each other. The WiFi is not strong; it would drop out occasionally. It is aptly named an upside down house.

We had a great family vacation here. The house was plenty big enough for 6 and then a few overnight guests. House is comfortable. I didn’t read the lease and there were no sheets or towels so that was a pain but my fault.

This was our first summer vacation on the Cape. So glad we chose this house! We were able to bike to a bay side beach,which was one of our favorites. We created some delicious meals and watched the meteor shower from the great deck! Karen was always available to answer any questions we had. I would definitely stay here again!

The description of this house as in the tree tops is accurate, and there are indeed lovely breezes that pervade. We had a rain storm one day, and the over hanging roof line prevented any rain from coming into the house, which was great. The location was further from town than we expected- it's not really an easy walk. House is spacious with room enough for 6 adults to co-exist comfortably. Kitchen is nicely equipped although a new non-stick fry pan would be a good addition. Plenty of plastic ware and cups.
The furniture is fairly old, worn and yet pretty comfortable. Beds are acceptable for comfort but the mattress pads and pillow are in sad shape. Actually the pillows were pretty gross, and we ended up having our guests bring their own. Hard to understand why owners can't provide clean bedding. Old quilts and throw pillows also pretty worn out and dirty.
Outdoor shower was a plus, and the decks are spacious and clean.
Overall the house suited us well, but I would not rent again unless there were some updates as mentioned above.
