Villa Caruso

We stayed at Villa Caruso for the final few days of our Italian honeymoon in July, and it was the perfect way to end an unforgettable trip. Even before we arrived, Gianna made us feel incredibly welcome. She was in touch via WhatsApp, answering all of our questions and providing helpful recommendations and information that made planning our stay effortless. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of Villa Caruso. Set in a peaceful location with breathtaking views over Ischia, it truly feels like a hidden gem. We received such a warm welcome, and were delighted to be able to access our villa earlier than expected, allowing us to start relaxing straight away. Our villa was absolutely stunning – spacious, beautifully presented, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The large private balcony was a real highlight, providing the perfect place to sit and soak up the incredible views. The pool area was equally impressive. Beautifully maintained and wonderfully peaceful. Most of the time we had it almost entirely to ourselves, making it feel like our own private oasis. Gianna’s local knowledge made our stay even more special. She recommended some fantastic restaurants and suggested activities around the island that helped us make the most of our time in Ischia. We genuinely couldn’t fault Villa Caruso. From the exceptional hospitality and beautiful accommodation to the peaceful surroundings and stunning views, every part of our stay exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect ending to our honeymoon, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Ischia. One tip for anyone planning to stay for several days: consider hiring a car. While taxis are readily available, they can be quite expensive on Ischia, and having your own car makes it much easier to explore everything this beautiful island has to offer.

If this hotel is available, stop your search and book it. Hotel Villa Caruso is one of our favorite hotels we’ve ever stayed at and we’ve traveled to many countries. We stayed for 6 nights and where do I start? Gianna runs the hotel and she was so helpful to us in every way. She runs a top class establishment. Some nights they offer dinner at the patio. They will let you know ahead of time, but it’s worth doing it. The food they prepare is very good, and the views off the patio and the atmosphere is like a dream. Christian is usually on site as well, and he was also so kind to our family and helpful as well. The rooms are apartment style with everything you need. We cooked pasta in our room one night. There are free shuttle’s every 20 minutes to the nearby beach clubs at San Fransesco which is just down the hill. It’s only a 2-3 minute drive. One day we walked it while holding our toddler, and it is less than 10 minutes to walk down the hill as well. Steep but very doable. I mentioned to Gianna that my wife’s birthday was during our stay. She helped me surprise her with a cake and wine that night, and gave us good recommendations for a dinner in Forio. She also introduced us to a driver “Giorgio” who was SO helpful in taking us around the island. He charges a reasonable rate for the island and is very accommodating. I can’t say enough about how beautiful this property was. The pool and the views from the terraces are incredible. People on the island literally drive to a point near the hotel just to take pictures. Giardini la Mortella is a 5 minute walk away and a must see. It’s true that you feel like part of their family by the time you leave this place. We would absolutely book this again in a heartbeat if we return to Ischia. In fact, we’d plan our trip there based on this hotel’s availability. Incredible
