Lovely Hotel

Beautiful hotel with a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.stayed in one of the suites,very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff super friendly and helpful. Always a delight to stay at Castletroy Park.

Perfectly fine, so long as you can tolerate the cold.

Fast internet, amenities in the room were nice, decent selection of channels when the TV decided to work. Good location with main hotel and shops nearby.

The suites were absolutely freezing. What heating there was did absolutely nothing to warm up the rooms. We literally had to go to bed wearing layers and even then it wasn't great. Three different maintenance staff were sent out to try and fix the problem, and despite all three of them claiming the problem was solved. It wasn't. Irish winters are bad enough without having to deal with no heating on top.

Told no breakfast served until 7am Then to find out breakfast was served at 6.30 am Very disappointing as we had to leave the hotel due to an event at 6.50 am and not informed of the early breakfast after paying for it

Christmas Magic

It was our first stay on Christmas eve which is a very special time for us, so we were a little sceptical of what to accept, well no need as it exceeded our expectations, from the min we entered the hotel until we left it was just a fabulous experience, so professional, so welcoming and efficent,we are creatures of habit and will be definitely doing Christmas eve there again.Our 10yr old daughter had an awesome time, there was a lovely bag of treats fot Santa and his Reindeer left in the room, everything was accommodated for.Thank you to all there. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Excellent for a night or two

Excellent room and comfortable bed, check in easy, great facilities in reception, bar and restaurant. Excellent dinner options and food was really good. Quiet location too

Bit far from the centre of town (I underestimated size of Limerick and the traffic so not the venues fault!)

Disappointing kitchen and bathroom. Room ok.

Breakfast is very good, when you can find someone to plug the toaster in. Some servers smile, some don't. The g/f table is a good idea. There's plenty of parking. Location very handy for the University concert hall.

The bathroom tiles needs a good steam clean, and the shower door needs adjusting, because it doesn't shut. The shower sprays all over the floor and down the wooden door, so that the paint peels and the wood expands. It looks, and is, awful. If I had wanted to use dinner plates or the Microwave oven, I would have had to ask for a stepladder, as they are far above my reach, dangerously so. The temperature doesn't work on the thermostat. Sometimes my key card didn't work, meaning I had to double back to reception each time, for it to be re-coded.

Great room , great staff, on a goid day food good too.

1:Toilet seat in Apt A room 2, bit funny falls to left when used. 2;Shower Hose pipe also broken. 3; I couldnt get hair dryer to work but could have been me. 4 :Late lunch after graduation first day in Brassiere . It was poor enough Turkey and Ham ,roast pork veg and potatoes only warm. All minor. But i would have cancelled lunch only I didnt know anywhere else close to U.L (Earlier lunch in same place before graduation following day with 2 different kids way better.Turkey and Ham and steak sandwiches excellant) So

The very friendly and helpful staff and manager. The suits are so spacious and well equipped. A good variety of delicious food.

Comfortable but could have been better

Spacious room

Air-con did not work properly. The manager came and said maintenance would take a look which never happened. Came back one day to find the room fully open as housekeeping had serviced the room but left the room on the snib. I don’t know how long my room was unsecured for.

Staff lovely, suite ideal for families, pool great.

We stayed in one of the suites which was ideal as we had our 2 grandkids with us aged 1 and 2. It had a sofa bed, sink, microwave, fridge and hob. It was fantastic. Also the swimming pool was lovely and the children loved it.

Great location and very comfortable.

Large suite. Plenty of parking. Delicious breakfasts and the restaurant food was excellent. We walked into town but plenty of buses with stops very conveniently located.

It was a little noisy although I will say the hotel was very busy and there were some young residents who came back late at night. The hotel responded quickly and resolved the issue.

The suite was lovely, clean and spacious. However I booked for 4 people and the second double bed was only a pull out sofa bed which for 2 adult children was not very comfortable. I expected there to be 2;proper double beds or a double and 2 single beds. Otter than this the hotel facilities are very good.

Very spacious room, loved the kitchenette area made it easy to prep baby food and bottles.

Would have liked a bath in the bathroom. WiFi wasnt strong enough in the suites to facilitate our baby camera and would of liked to have a space for toddler to sleep that was a little separate from our bed

The suites were actually okay, but the general facilities, maintenance, upkeep and offer leaves a lot to be desired!

Visible lack of investment on the property over the past number of years - the entire place looks tired and run-down, yet the property has no issue in charging premium prices for its accommodation and bistro food, with no investment nor upgrade
