“Woodhaven” is tucked away on a serene private road and offers the perfect escape for nature enthusiasts and families seeking a peaceful getaway. This charming craftsman-style guesthouse is surrounded by nature yet conveniently located within walking distance to hiking trails, kayak rentals, and the charming downtown area of Inverness. “Woodhaven” provides a blend of relaxation and adventure. Whether you’re lounging on the deck, exploring the nearby beaches or town, or enjoying a friendly tennis match, your stay here promises memories of relaxation and natural beauty.
*One bedroom with breathtaking views from the queen bed and a bathroom with a standup shower
*The home sleeps 4 people. There is a sofa bed featuring a memory foam mattress, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay for additional guests
*Get cozy in front of the fireplace (logs provided)
*Enjoy top-notch amenities like EO soaps, Coyuchi Linens, organic olive oil, organic coffee beans, quality bedding, and more!
*Fully equipped kitchen with lots of counter space
*Sip your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening on your private deck, offering picturesque views of Tomales bay

Guest access:
The home is set up for self check-in. Guests can access the home via lockbox and will have access to the entire home and their own carport for parking.
The owners have a home about 50 feet away, with separate garage/parking area, and situated such that the guest house feels very private and separate.
The tennis court is private for this property and you, the guests. You can use it whenever you like. Please note that it does not have lights.
Other things to note:
1. Confirmed guests will receive a local "Insider's Guide". We're a family business deeply connected to our community, and we hope you'll enjoy and respect this beautiful corner of the world while supporting our local economy sustainably. We love sharing it with our guests!
2. The home is professionally cleaned with eco-friendly products.
3. No chores for our guests! That’s what the cleaning fee is for, right? We have a fantastic team of housekeepers, some of whom have worked with us for over 10 years. We fully clean each home top to bottom, fully restocking all amenities, replacing worn-out items, and keeping things fresh and pleasant for our guests. We use top-notch cleaning products without annoying scents or chemicals, and our cleaners are paid living wages because they are the backbone of what we do and you’ll appreciate their attention to detail.
4. Absolutely no parties or loud/late-night gatherings. We have neighbors nearby on both sides who are noise-sensitive. Please respect the serenity of the neighborhood. If you're looking for a place to cut loose and laugh and play music late into the night, we have other homes nearby that are more appropriate. Please ask us for alternative accommodation and we’d be happy to help find a place!
5. No pets at this stay.
6. Please note that the owners have a home next door which they regularly visit. This shouldn't impact your stay at all, as the homes are well separated and private, but you may cross paths with each other in the driveway.

The property is set up for contactless entry. We are a local company that manages the property. We're just 15 minutes away, and our office is in Point Reyes Station. We're here 7 days a week to answer your questions or address any issues, usually within an hour, even on weekends and holidays.
Neighborhood:
The home is in a very quiet neighborhood, perched above Chicken Ranch Beach. There are just a few homes on our road. Our neighborhood is very woodsy, ideal for strolling, with only a handful of cars going by each day. We do have neighbors, but they are spaced about 40 yards away. There are no ambient sounds at night and as a result, any noise travels. Please be respectful to our neighbors who live here for peace and tranquility and keep outside noise to a minimum after dark.
Inverness is a charming coastal village in California. Known for its serene natural beauty, it's an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Enjoy hiking and biking trails, kayaking, and exploring the nearby Point Reyes National Seashore. Savor fresh seafood at local eateries, visit quaint markets, and unwind in cozy accommodations. Inverness offers a peaceful escape with breathtaking bay views and a welcoming, small-town atmosphere.
Getting around:

What a wonderful, peaceful place to return to after a long day of hiking. Spacious, comfortable beds,and equipped with everything you need for a delightful stay. We will definitely be back.

We loved our getaway in this comfortable clean house up on the hillside above the bay. Perfect for two people who love to cook and want a quiet place to relax. Waking up to views of Tomales Bay from our comfy bed and hearing the birds right outside our window was such a sweet start to each day. We cooked all of our meals from the very well appointed (and clean) kitchen though there are some yummy restaurants nearby doing take out and outdoor dining during this time. We were happy some nights got chilly enough to sit in front of a cozy fire, but we were never chilly as the ceramic floors have radiant heat. Toasty! We loved that the TV is out of sight until you want it, and we never turned it on.We had a small issue arise and the property manager was super responsive and kind. And we met the owner of the home who is incredibly charming and pointed out some lovely walks for us to get better views of some birds we were seeking. 2 bald eagle sightings from the front of the house and from the deck over the water. Not bad :). She told us this home has been in their family for decades and it really does feel like a cared for family home.We look forward to returning. Just delightful all around.thank you for making our vacation so restful.
