My wife and I and three other couples stayed here for a long weekend. Beautiful grounds with lovely views. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and walking along the road. The open floorplan was good for our group inviting cooking and conversation. We also enjoyed the outdoor firepit and indoor fireplace. It is conveniently located to the downtown area of Ellicottville. A couple of cautions... The downstairs had a musty basement smell. Luckily we didn't need to use the bedroom that was down there. We did not use the lower level at all. Also, the photo shows two armchairs in the living room which were missing so we didn't have adequate comfy seating for more than a couple people.

Great place to stay for our family to all be together for our parents 50th anniversary. Being able to spend time together, enjoy each others company, cook nice meals, and fill the house with lots of laughter was priceless! The location was excellent, house perfectly fit all of us and really had everything we needed! Owner was so friendly and accommodating! Very grateful for finding this place, we enjoyed everything about it!!

It was big enough for all 10 of us comfortably. The deck was great and the lower deck was nice for shade. There was more then enough chairs to sit on plenty of wood for a fire and plenty of places to sleep.

We had 3 families and had so much room for everyone to sleep and hang out together! Loved the fireplace and coziness. Very clean and comfortable. Easy and spacious parking and beautiful views all around. Will definitely stay again! The host was wonderful! So hospitable, generous welcoming and easy to work with. Would rent from them all the time!

The home was very clean and plenty of room for the 12 of us. All the essentials were available at the home - only needed to bring food and drinks. The drive to town and activities was close yet the home was somewhat secluded in the countryside. Beautiful place and would recommend to families looking to get away. Property managers were excellent and very responsive.

If u want space and proper sleeping space for everyone in your party, this is the place to go for. Located in a very serene location, it has a pleasant view from patio. Lawn is great. Rooms and restrooms are neat and good looking. Worth the money.

We shared this house with another family, and it very nice to have so much space and a nice big kitchen and living room, which has a great view of the mountains. This house is gorgeous and we were well taken care by the owner. If you are lucky enough to be there on a snowy weekend, good to have 4-wheel drive and/or snow tires to make it up the driveway. We loved our stay and hope to return again.

Thank you for opening your home to our extended family. Plenty of room to spread out and cook meals. The kids had a blast tracking animal footprints in the snow on the property. Short drive into town and tubing just around the corner.

This is a well-appointed property with plenty of room for large groups and a spacious living room / dining room / kitchen for sharing meals. The owner was laid back and made check-in and communication easy through phone and text. Distance to Holiday Valley for our family ski outings was just right even in snowy weather. Next time, we'll be sure to take advantage of Holiday Valley tubing that is right down the road. Quiet property that quickly felt like home.

Beautiful cottage well taken care of in a very peaceful environment. Great for getting away from it all. The only comment that could be slightly negative is the fact there is about 30 bats living in the attic. We could not hear them. However in the evening they would leave the attic through a hole in the roof.

The home was clean and spacious and held our family of 9 quite well. The views from the deck were spectacular. There were two tables with umbrellas and ample seating for everyone. Fran was quick to respond to any questions we had and called to be sure we had everything we needed! We would definitely rent this place again!

A group of friends stayed in the area mainly to Ski so did not spend a ton of time awake at the property but when we did everything worked, everything was clean, and Fran was very accommodating and flexible for us. Would definitely recommend!

We had 4 families with teenage kids and the house was perfect for us. Plenty of beds/bathrooms and the kitchen/living room area was big enough for all of us. Holiday Valley about a 4 mile drive through E'ville or some interesting backroads.

The house is absolutely beautiful and very spacious! The main floor had 2 bedrooms, which was very convenient. I love how open the house is and the natural lights provided from all the windows and glass doors. The deck is great to enjoy the view and big enough for tables to enjoy eating outside. There is plenty of space outside. It was a really nice place to stay, everyone enjoyed themselves and loved the house. The towels were folded and placed on the beds so nicely. The bed was very comfortable as well! Everything was so wonderful! We had a great time! Owner had provided all the instructions before hand, even though he was out of station during our stay. There is no internet and cell phone coverage was very limited. But we enjoyed that very much and we had lots of time to have fun together. The only issue we had was with the propane grill, it was pretty old and not impressive. The deck had very limited lighting for night use. Also the ping pong table in the basement was very old.

The house fit two families (4 adults, 5 kids) with room to spare. It was comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and we enjoyed peaceful evenings having drinks on the deck in a beautiful setting. (There were wild turkeys on the property one morning.) It's a short drive to Ellicottville, the Holiday Valley Resort, and the sculpture gardens, a half-hour from Allegany State Park, about an hour from Buffalo, and within 90 minutes of Niagara Falls and Darien Lake amusement park. Be aware that there is no WiFi, and cell coverage is very limited at the house. That took a little getting used to, but there's a landline, and being disconnected - which also limited the kids' screen time - was not a bad thing. There's cell coverage in town, and WiFi at the resort.

This house was perfect for a weekend in Ellicottville. We rented this house for a group of 12, we are all old college friends and had a reunion celebrating over 25 years of friendship. This house was perfect for our group. We stayed in one night and made dinner. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for a large group and fully stocked with all needed utensils. The livingroom very inviting and comfortable and open. Sleeping accomodations were great, enough rooms and beds for everyone. The house is kept in very good condition and was very clean and had the perfect mountain touches in the decor. Overall everyone had a great weekend and I would highly recommend this rental and would consider renting again in the future.

We rented the house for 4 nights. It was everything described on the website and more. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything anyone could need in terms of towels, kitchen utensils, etc. It has a very open feeling and there are plenty of beds throughout the house. The owner was beyond helpful with answering questions. It was incredibly quiet and just a perfect house. We would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

Loved this place. Came to stay with family from the UK, there were 8 of us, and there was room to spare. The main floor was great for gathering around the dining table/ kitchen/ sitting area. The grill was perfect for sunset BBQ's. Would love to stay there again. About 90 minutes to Niagara Falls. Go stocked up with food as the nearest shop is a distance away. Watch for snakes in the wood pile, but otherwise very nice family gathering cabin.

A beautiful house with all the amenities you could possibly need. We rented the house for the weekend to celebrate a our son's birthday. He invited a few friends and they all were so impressed with the house and the surrounding area. Fran (the owner) couldn't have made it easier for us. We will definitely consider renting it again in the future. We highly recommend renting this property whether it be winter or summer. I can only imagine the gorgeous view during the summer. Thanks Fran for a wonderful weekend.

We have come to EVL every winter break for the past 10 years and this house is by FAR the best house we have ever rented. It was extremely clean and the layout was perfect. It has a nice open floor plan so people in the kitchen and dining area are right there next to the living area. It is set back off the road so it is a very peaceful setting. As always the town is wonderful and the house is close to all the restaraunts, shops, bars etc. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.
