Sofias Home

The Breakfast was excellent. Sophia was a superstar. We had a 5:30am excursion and our breakfast was served at 5am. Sophia went over and above to accommodate our needs.

This was our first visit to Crete. Sofias Home was the perfect location. Sofia was an absolutely fabulous host, she completely spoilt us from start to finish with gorgeous homemade breakfasts as well as other plates of food - we were certainly not expecting to be fed considering this was an apartment not a hotel. The apartment was just the right size for us, it is tucked away in a quiet location so we slept without any disturbance. There is a patio area where which we sat out on at breakfast time and late on in the day - very much a nice suntrap away from the crowds.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sofia’s Home. We are a family of 3 and it was perfect size for us. Lady Sofia is incredibly kind and helpful and generous. The breakfast was delicious. It was very quiet at night.

The bed is a bit harder than we like, but everything else was perfect.

Sofia's breakfast was more than sufficient and contained great pastries. Being in Old Town was nice. Wifi is strong.

This was a low-budget rental. So paying more than $50 per night would not be advisable. The room was a little difficult to find as the entrance is located behind the street bordering abandoned land. We informed Sofia that her mattresses were hard and I suspect that it is a boxspring and not a mattress. The bed also squeaks a lot, so we slept on the sofabed already made up for us. 😀 The shower stall is not suited for larger people as it is enclosed and tight. I am 5'9" and 205 lbs and just fit. I thought I was paying more for the room until I looked on my bank report and realized I was charged a fair price and am satisfied. Thanks, Sofia.
