Mia's Atelier, Balcony to Acropolis

View from the balcony. It was something amazing. You look at acropolis all day and all night and you have not enough. The owner was really kind, and I have all instructions few days before. Neighborhood is really calm, at evening you can hear guitar and singing. It was really nice and together with the view it was amazing. Near of apartment is really nice Plyta square with amazing gyros, and restaurant/bar called Stori amazing drinks, amazing food. Metro station Aghios Ioannis is about 7 minutes away and near of that station is bakery Attika. You can sit there, eat amazing bakery, really good coffee and have nice breakfast. Aghios Ioannis is about 4-5 stops from syntagma/Monastiraki, so it is really closed to city center. One stop away is Neo Kosmos, where you can take Tram number 6 and go to Athens Beaches. I hope, that next year I will visit Athens again and Mia’s Atelier will be the only choice for me.

There was not anything that I did not like.

The apartment was great. It was reasonable financially because it is slightly outside the normal hotel district but we found a lovely butchers, bakery, kiosk immediately outside which gave us all sorts of food options. About 300m away were 2 big supermarkets. A taxi from outside the apartment to the temple of zeus was €4 or a 20minute walk. Buses ran nearby but we didn't work them out. The bed is two singles linked together, very comfortable. We were there in winter and there were blankets to keep us warm at night. It was between 9 and 19 degrees during our trip and we needed to use the heating. The bathroom has full sized equipment which meant a bit of a squeeze to get past the sink to the loo - lovely hot water. Shower worked well. Lots of toiletries available except no conditioner during our stay. Kitchen is a full sized oven with lots of pans, enough matched crockery for 2 people. Lots of cutlery and utensils. We didn't find anything missing that we needed. Access the flat up a flight of steps then a small lift and then another flight of steps. We didn't meet any other residents in the building. All in all we would highly recommend the apartment for the money, it was fab and the owners were really helpful and responded any time we had a question.

We wished there was space to lie in the sun, as the sun didn't seem to hit the balcony that may be more to do with there not being much sun in January. It might not be an issue in the summer.

Nice apartment, comfortable bed, big terrace, safe and quiet neighbourhood. Close to metro station.

Incredible, large balcony space with Acropolis view! Large, light filled bedroom. (Was two twin beds put together rather than a double but they were comfy). Well equipped kitchen. Warm shower. Owners very friendly and helpful. 10 mins from metro, in good location near some shops.

The bathroom ceiling was low so taking a shower if you’re over 5ft 8 is a little tricky. A fair bit of clutter around the place which wasn’t needed (especially in bathroom).
