About this cottage rental
The cottage is nestled among the pines with a beautiful view of the lake from the front deck. It is rare to find an Adirondack lake with no public access, which is shared with a small home owners association.
The cottage is very comfortable and set up with all the basic amenities along with cable and Wi-Fi, the only thing you need to bring are your own beach towels and your Adirondack spirit.
Centrally located in the southern Adirondacks it's about a 15 minute drive to the historic village of North Creek, Warrensburg and Cronin's Golf Course and about 30 minutes to Lake George Village, The Painted Pony Rodeo, Six Flags Amusement Park and many other Adirondack activities.
We look forward to being your Adirondack escape for years to come.
*Friends Lake is completely free of invasive species, and in order to keep it that way, we can not allow renters to bring/launch their own boats (This includes; Kayaks, Canoes, Rowboats, Motorized boats of any kind, Paddle Boats, etc.). Thank you for your understanding.* That being said, during your stay there is a rowboat for your private use. Also the owner has two kayaks that you can use during your stay and they are only shared with one other cottage.
*Due to the size of the cabin, the owner requests that renters bring no more than 2 dogs*

A perfect vacation for our small family! We swam, used the rowboat, had fires and stargazed. The kitchen was just what we needed for meals in, and the rooms were cozy even with temps ranging 87 degrees to 50 overnight! The location was also great, it was new to us exploring the southern part of the park and we will definitely go again! Amanda was super helpful and this is the CLEANEST cottage I have ever rented!

3rd time staying in the cabins owned by Dan and Amanda and it was the perfect getaway for me, my husband and our 2 dogs, Jovie (Basset Hound) and Sadie (Chihuahua Mix). This was our first time staying in this cabin, which is just slightly closer to the little beach. We cooked on the grill several times, made fires in the fire pit almost every night, had our coffee on the deck every morning, and spent 5 of our days on the lake because the weather was spectacular! We swam, kayaked, played with the dogs, sunbathed, read, listened to music, met and chatted with the locals and their grandkids (everyone was super friendly). There is a ton to do locally, and we did go to Saratoga Springs for the day (55 minute drive) mid-week, but didn’t explore anywhere else this time. We honestly needed a R&R vacation and this one was perfect. We will be back again!

This was our second time at this cottage. We enjoyed it fully. Dan was very helpful, came over to welcome us and answer any questions we had. The cabin is stocked with just about anything one would need and we find it very comfortable.

The host was kind but heads up—this is not water front, and not private ! We booked this place based on the fact that it was listed as “waterfront” and “private dock and beach” and it was far from the truth. The beach and docks were shared with many houses and it was always crowded when we were there. It really took away from the experience.
The host was nice and located right across the way so always around/close by and available.
I’m sorry, we left after a few nights because of how crowded it was 😵💫😩
