Private Home with Pool in Secure Gated Community on Kona Country Club Fairway

The property was clean and very spacious for our family of four. Updated kitchen, great game room for the kids, but most of all- the pool and that stunning view! Better than the pictures. Had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

This property was fantastic. The location was great and the games room was a great place for the teenagers to hang out.The house was clean and the property manager was very helpful in addressing all our needs.The only minor issue was the temperature of the water in the bathrooms which was being address right after out stay.Highly recommend.

Came here with my husbands family for Christmas. Beautiful sunsets could see whales from the house. Really nice safe neighborhood. Game room was fun.

My family couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The stunning sunset views every night were worth the trip alone. Nice quiet neighborhood with plenty of privacy. Comfortable layout with plenty of amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous property with amazing view, amenities, and pool. Host was responsive and helpful. There were a lot of rules for proper check in/out and cleaning that took away from the "peace" of the vacation at times, but that just comes from staying at someone's home rather than a hotel. Lots of lizards! Would stay again.

Lovely location! Stunning view! Coffee on the pool deck in the morning and the sunsets were incredible! Plumbing in general needs to be updated. Water pressure in toilets and very little hot water for showers.

We had a wonderful time !!!!!! Some reviews mentioned bugs...we saw none. A few geckos, but you are in a tropical paradise. Screen door from great room to patio needs to be fixed and maybe a few updates but we loved the layout of the house. The patio and pool are great. Such a beautiful view. A great place for coffee in the morning and cooling off in the evenings. The neighborhood is quiet and secure. Would definitely rent this home again.

We had such a great time here during our stay. We were in town to visit my family who lived on island as well as celebrate our kids graduation from Highschool. The listing and pictures were accurate and I felt pleased with everything. The views are amazing. Carmelo, the home manager, was super responsive and really great about taking care of any questions I had or anything that came up I needed. I would recommend the home to anyone and I would definitely come back.

It was a wonderful location and vacation. We wished it was available for another week. Enjoyed the privacy, security, wildlife, private pool and elegance.

Loved our stay here and the house was impeccably clean with everything we needed. Our only complaint is that the home is showing signs of neglect with a lot of the furnishings being quite dated and a few lamps broken. Nothing horrible, but it could use a revision.

Our family of 6 enjoyed the property and pool. The views were amazing. The sounds of frogs lulls you to sleep at night which was super cool. The ants around the pool, giant spiders and lizards in the home were a downfall but expected with all the lush greenery. The grill didn’t work so we had to change plans to indoor cooking. The jetted tub did not work either. The master shower needs time to heat up but did work after about 7 minutes of letting it run initially. Overall the property was nice and well equipped. I made sure to wash all the towels to avoid excess fees which was strange on vacation when you pay a cleaning fee. The host assistant Terri was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Great location to everything Kona! Spectacular sunsets!

This home has stunning views and all you need for a relaxing vacation. The sound of birds and views was a peaceful morning experience. We had an excellent time in this home and would definitely stay here again. The location is also very convenient to great locations on the island. In addition being in a gated community provides piece of mind. Love this property - thank you for sharing this paradise with mainlanders!

Hale Kopela is an excellent place for your big island vacation. My wife and I spent a week there with our 4 kids (14-8) and her parents. The pool pictures probably don’t do the back deck justice. The kids came home and jumped in the pool every night, even when we had just come from the beach. This allowed the adults to enjoy happy hour while watching the sunset over the ocean in front of us. The house is well appointed, including snorkel gear and boogie boards. The game room was a blast for the kids. Some people in previous notes complained about the heat in that room. We were there in late July and did not purchase AC and it was fine. There are oscillating fans that allowed 2 of the boys to sleep quite comfortably in that room. There is just one thing you need to know: There will be bugs. I almost didn’t rent this property because of some of the previous comments about bugs but I’m glad we did. Nevertheless you need to know that there will be bugs. The house manual says they spray monthly. Maybe bi-monthly would help but probably not too much. This is just a by-product of being surrounded by what amounts to a jungle. If you aren’t ok with this, the resorts are the place for you, but if you can handle the occasional bug this place is amazing!

Nice home with a great ocean view.

Firstly, the view is breath taking! This neighbourhood is beautifully cared for, safe, and just stunning! Jerry is a gracious host, very responsive and accommodating. While we had one or two small hiccups, they were remedied almost immediately. I hope our group makes this an annual trip and we can stay here every year!

The location, view and bones of the home were fantastic. We loved the pool, pool table and food ball table. Layout of house was nice for our group of 8. I want to make sure people’s expectations are realistic here. The owner is very particular about how to do everything at the home including what to do to avoid excess charges. I appreciated the clarity, but felt a little harsh. Also, there are new floor coverings in part of the house but many components were still dated. Just be aware. Overall we felt like it was a good value for what we received. Owner had lots of chairs, snorkel gear and an ice chest for use which was great.

We stayed with 2 parents, 2 grandparents, and 3 kids. Perfect space to accommodate everyone.

We, a family of 4, stayed in this house for 3 weeks in August/September 22. We had some initial problems. Why? We were missing some household appliances in the kitchen etc. But in the end these are personal sensitivities. The property is beautiful. The kitchen, the living room and the outdoor area are really great! The house looks like it does in the pictures. The mattresses were great in all beds! And what I want to emphasize - WHEN WE HAD A QUESTION OR PROBLEM, SOMEONE WAS ALWAYS ANSWERED IMMEDIATELY. Usually then Roland, the caretaker. That was really remarkable!!!!! So our summary - we would come back at any time. This was our 7th stay on the Big Island and one of the nicest homes in this price range. Thank you and continue to feel good in this beautiful spot on earth.

This was a great home for our family get together. The pool and views from the backyard was beautiful. The house was comfortable for all of the family.

What a great house! The photos in the listing are accurate. The view is wonderful and the house is nice and bright and very spacious. Yes the carpeting in the bedroom and game room need to be replaced, but the house was extremely clean and well maintained. We had several small issues come up while we were there and Terry responded immediately to get them taken care of. Communication before check-in was also good. They provided enough detergent/soaps for our 2 week stay. The neighborhood is an upscale gated, quiet, friendly community. We loved the unique layout of the house, but it does have multiple levels so just a heads up if you are traveling with someone who has limited mobility. We had 3 generations staying here and we all want to stay here again!

The house itself was gorgeous. But there were no ice chests available and no floaties for the pool. No first aide kit that we could find. Fountain on the outside of mermaid room did not function.

This is a great property with a central location in a gated community that had a friendly security staff 24 hours a day. Close to a shopping center with groceries, theater and restaurants. There are some updates that need to be made but owner is aware and provided list of things that are being done to improve the property. The carpet in the master is slated for replacement and is much needed. Property was clean and exactly as presented. Check in and communication was effortless. Plenty of room for our family of 7, never felt crowded. Sunsets are amazing by the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay. The house is large and open, the master en suite is huge, the pool area is great for sunning and playing, the view is spectacular. The kitchen is big and stocked with enough cookware to get you through. The outdoor BBQ worked great. There were a few issue like a soft spot in the floor by the front door and some staining of the bedroom and gameroom carpets. Also, the beds aren't the most comfortable, but those asides were balanced by the plusses. The security for the neighborhood and driveway parking made for comfortable and safe access to the property. The owners were very responsive to messages left and they were very helpful by allowing us a later checkout to accommodate our late departure. I would absolutely stay here again.

This property has wonderful private views of the ocean. We have stayed in Keauhou Estates several times. This property has a wonderful view and great privacy; however the house needs updating. It is clean and comfortable, but a bit worn. The property manager was very kind to allow us to reschedule from Xmas 2020 to 2021 due to covid. Oh..read the fine print of your contract. No air conditioning unless you ask for it in advance. It didn't impact us, but someone staying during the hot months might find that surprising. Cheers!

Great location. We enjoyed watching sunsets from the lanai. Good house layout for multiple couples or families. Owner and staff were very responsive. House and landscaping have certainly seen better days. A deep cleaning or a refresh would go a long way to making this property a real standout. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay and see the potential in this property.

This is a lovely property. The manager was extremely nice and even called to make sure I was ready. When this property was new, everything was top of the line. The owners have let it run down a bit, but nothing that makes it uncomfortable. The fans didn't work, some of the lights didn't work, older kitchen stuff, carpets are white/stained.

This home was an amazing home base for exploring the island of Kona. It’s in a convenient, safe, gated community which we enjoyed walking around. The owner quickly responded to our desire to add air conditioning and once it was turned on we were extremely comfortable. If you like your house to be cool be sure to request it in advance!

Everything was amazing and owner is really easy to work with. We had 10 people total and had a blast!

I will start by saying the views and location are amazing. We arrived to about 20 geckos running around including dead baby geckos under the sheets. I informed the property manager and they said we sprayed, and basically too bad. Light switches are a hassle to operate, with tons of notes everywhere. The beds were hard, The Ice maker didn’t function nor did the microwave, so they made do with another microwave and ice trays. This just shows the overall lack of updating and attention for the property and the comfort for the guests. It has 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom carpet is so filthy and stained you don’t want to walk barefoot on it. They charged us for extra guest for our 3 kids, my husband and I, but then they charge you if you don’t wash and put back any extra linens, and they don’t give enough supplies to wash the laundry or dishes. They expect you to wash and fold and put back any beach towels you use prior to leaving, empty all the trash cans and toss all the refrigerator items (I don’t know what the cleaning fee is for?) so there we were at 5 AM throwing the trash and folding last minute laundry prior to our flight. The game room with the 2 futons is so hot you can’t sleep comfortably, even with 4 fans. I have stayed in about 15 house properties, and I travel for a living and this was by far the worst. The pool was great but you have to swim with the vacuum and long hose attached at all times. We managed to make the best of it, and we still created great memories despite being uncomfortable. I will choose another house next year. Best of luck
