Split is very popular and lively at night so we are glad we stayed out of the centre. This is a good base if you intend to travel by ferry to the islands and the local beaches are just down a few steps. This is a converted block of rooms within an apartment block. Room decent size and clean and the the bathroom is large and modern. There is a fridge if you need to use it, a kettle and nespresso machine. We bought food for breakfast but there is a cafe down the road. There is also a mini-market and a small take-away that serves cevapi for a very good price. Highly recommend restaurant Konoba Nevera for seafood (it's right next door) and the Bottilglia wine bar is very good too.

Be aware this is on ground floor so not great views from windows that are high up. But not a big deal as we were out most of the time anyway.

the room had a double bed but two separate bed sheets, which was strange! No coffee pod machine and limited coffee/tea facilities The property is a significant distance from the centre of split old town (c. 20-30min walk) The room is much smaller in reality than advertised in pictures TV was not working but we were compensated
