Disappointing stay due to poor conditions, unexpected fees, and unprofessional behavior from the host’s family!!!

The location is nice, but overall our stay was disappointing. The air conditioner didn’t work for almost the entire stay, which was very hard in July, especially with a child. We had to sleep with the window open, but there was no mosquito net, so we were badly bitten. It was very hot during the night and I often woke up sweating. The bed sheets and towels were old, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and the toilet brush was worn out, like in public toilet. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided — after that, guests have to buy their own. The dish sponge was used as well and the hand soap in the bathroom was not even the soap , it was water, so be ready to have your hand soap with you as well. The internet was very weak in the room; we had to stand near the door to get a signal. There was an unexpected €25 fee for arriving after 10 PM, which was not clearly stated before booking. When I refused to pay this fee, the owner’s daughter argued with me loudly from her balcony instead of coming down to speak calmly. I had already explained to Ms. Nikoleta that I wouldn’t pay because I wasn’t warned and the apartment had issues. This behavior shocked me and spoiled my holiday. The argument happened in front of my child and while other guests could hear that, making it very uncomfortable. I was also blamed for not reporting problems earlier, but as a guest I expect to arrive to a ready and clean room, not to spend my vacation dealing with complaints or fixing things. I booked a standard room, and maybe if you book better room it’s going to be different, but based on my experience I cannot recommend this place AT ALL!!! Thankfully, I stayed only 4 nights and spent the rest of my holiday elsewhere, where everything was clean, cozy, and the service was excellent (with soap, toilet rolls, and white bed sheets and towels!!!) During my stay, I also had to deal with many messages from their “office,” which added unnecessary stress and spoiled my vacation further.

We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great location, short drive to Corfu Town and in close reach to the other side of the island. The property looks amazing, we enjoyed our stay very much! Each apartment had a terrace/balcony which we loved. The pool and the food from the restaurant were great. Nikoleta as well as Michael from the restaurant were exceptional!

Good

We stayed at Nikoleta’s for a week. Very quite place. Fully equipped close to the pool. The host es supra nice and helpful. I definitely recommend.

Not in the residence but there was a dog barking quite often not too far. Might be a bit disturbing in early morning.

Cosy place with silent area and a superhost

Perfect host! Good price/value ratio. Nice tavern at the pool with very nice staff. Close to Gouvia and Corfu. Perfect place with souvlaki is 5 mins walk from the property - it's called souvlakaro - best pitas in the area (checked!)

The toilet seat was broken and not fixed during all our stay. Pillows were a little bit too hard.

Nikoleta and her whole family were so lovely and accommodating. The apartment was lovely and modern, clean and also lovely balcony, as well as good working air con. Great that you could use the pool and facilities from the neighbouring apartments.

It is quite a walk to Gouvia town, especially in the heat of summer, so would recommend having your own transport.

A lovely, relaxing week in comfortable, friendy surroundings and would recommend to anyone!

Our host, Nikoleta, was wonderful. She was attentive, friendly and kind at all times. She could not have been more helpful and was keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Fresh fruit grown in her garden and the offer of clean towels whenever needed. There is quite a large supermarket within a couple of minutes walk, which was very handy and only a short 10/15 minute walk to the main shops / restaurants and local beach. There is a lovely pool and café / bar next to the apartments that served a lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hosts were excellent and really looked after us.

There was a little noise from the road and aircraft but not to an annoying level. There was a dog that liked to bark in the very early hours of the morning on a regular basis, however, that was slightly more annoying (around 5am)! COVID-19 and the mixed weather (it was the end of September) made the village of Gouvia a little quiet and lacking in atmosphere. The signs of economic suffering are plain to see. The flip side of that was that the small pebble beach was quite and would be uncomfortably packed in normal summer months.

Amazing

Everything was perfect, we'll be back soon. Really clean and tidy. The bar has a great service and prices are accurated. Honestly the best are the owners of the apartment and the dolphin bar. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet, auch in der kleinen Küchenzeile gab es alles was man braucht. Unser Appartement hatte eine kleine Terrasse, auf der wir jeden Morgen gefrühstückt haben. Besonders gut hat uns der anliegende Pool mit Poolbar/Restaurant gefallen. Die Gastgeberin Nikoleta ist außerdem ein herzensguter Mensch, hat uns jegliche Fragen beantwortet und sogar einen Mietwagen vermittelt.

Das Ortszentrum und der Strand waren zu Fuß etwa 20 Minuten entfernt. Das hat uns nicht groß gestört, da es zum einen den Pool nebenan gab und wir zum anderen mit dem Mietauto auch zu anderen Stränden gefahren sind, man sollte es aber bedenken.

Ci mancherà tantissimo

Struttura accogliente pulita e confortevole. Nicoletta e’ sempre presente e molto disponibile a soddisfare le esigenze che possono sorgere. Ci ha dato sempre ottimi consigli per girare l isola. Ottima posizione con un supermercato molto fornito nei paraggi. Potevamo usufruire della piscina del residence accanto ed è stato un toccasana soprattutto se si hanno bambini al seguito

Prima appartement op centrale locatie.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Eigenaar was altijd beschikbaar bij vragen. Mooi appartement met 2 slaapkamers met goed werkende airco. Prima bedden. Goede koelkast/vriezer. Fijn zwembad met zwembadbar. Centrale locatie ten opzichte van zowel oost en westkust en corfu stad. Goede prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding.

Airco zit alleen in de slaapkamers. In de keuken en badkamer werd het vrij warm dus daar hebben we weinig gezeten. Het appartement kan schoner, de vloer gaf zwart af onder voeten. De keuken is basic ingericht. We hebben niet zelf gekookt dus hadden ook niet veel nodig. Zwembad kan druk worden doordat meerdere appartementen en gebruik van maken.

Πολύ καθαρό, ευρύχωρο και όμορφο διαμέρισμα για οικογένεια 4 ατόμων. Βολική τοποθεσία 10 λεπτά από το κέντρο της πόλης. Η πισίνα μεγάλο πλεονέκτημα και το pool bar εξαιρετικό.Η κα Νικολέτα είναι μια γλυκύτατη κυρία πρόθυμη να εξυπηρετήσει σε οτιδήποτε χρειαστεί κανείς και σε κάνει να νιώθεις σαν στο σπίτι σου. Συστήνεται ανεπιφύλακτα και αν επισκεφθούμε ξανά την Κέρκυρα σίγουρα θα επιλέξουμε το ίδιο κατάλυμμα!
