We really enjoyed our stay at Funabori apartments! Everything about the experience was great, from Masa-san greeting us as we arrived and helping us get settled in, to the apartment onsen. The room was clean and comfortable and easy access from the station. The onsen was so nice to relax in after a long day of sight-seeing. Funabori is also a nice place to come to get out of the hustle of other places around Tokyo. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area!ありがとうございました！

Our host was wonderful, informative and easy to contact with questions. The area we stayed in was nice and quiet with a few delicious food options downstairs.

Masakatsu was a friendly and gracious host. The apartment was clean and cool. The area is quite residential and a bit far from the city center, but I was able to consistently get around by train. Great restaurants nearby. Onsen is not actually part of the apartment. Instead it is a separate business nearby which is discounted to apartment tenants. Close to grocery store, drug store, conbinis, train station.

Arrived 4hrs before check in time (4pm) but was allowed to leave our luggage & start our holiday. roam around vicinity with it until exactly 4pm before we are allowed to check in. Reminder to all to request for it before booking.
On checking in, we discuss with host the time of our flight (5pm) and that we can check out and leave the place at 1pm. Could be due to miscommunication, we were request to check out at 11am (cleaning time) when we are out in town. Luckily, we had packed before leaving and host carried luggage from the room to store at his office to enable cleaning aunty to clean. We found out when we return to check out. Good for us coz we saved the trouble to carry the luggage from 2nd floor to ground floor. Thus, reminder again to request to store luggage in office before booking. Verbal communication is not advise to avoid miscommunication.
Stayed for 6 days 5 nights but room was not clean throughout although cleaning fee was charged. Thus, please prepare your own plastic bags for your trash. There is a mini trash collection center near the staircase leading to room.
Area was convenient with at least 4 supermarkets nearby and many eatery located around accommodation & train station (Funabori station) which is about 10mins walk.
Host will give you tickets for public bath owned by them just 4 doors away. my girl enjoyed going to public bath with the locals.
The rooms owned by the host are on 2nd floor without lift and office is right below. Smaller luggage are advised if your travelling with man :).
Overall, the fee paid are cheaper than hotel as there are 3 of us and there are not many hotels with twin bed or triple sharing. We used 3days Tokyo metro pass @ Yen 1500 with unlimited rides on Tokyo metro to get us around - JR line has to be paid separately.
Host will give you a unlimited wifi router thus it is still oki if your do not have data sim. The speed of wifi router is acceptable if your using only for whatsapp but not for email checking.
Host will give your some write up and suggestion of things to do and direction to walk to accommodation from train station upon confirmation of booking with them.
