About this house rental

The property is located in beautiful Henry County. It’s only 40 minutes away from Iowa City and 7 minutes from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. The property features walking trails and a 2 acre pond stocked with fish for our guests to enjoy. We also have 6 kayaks for guests to use. Nearby are wineries, antique shops and many quaint small towns. Beautiful place to relax and get away from it all. Each bedroom has a queen bed with brand new luxury mattresses and two of the rooms have twin beds in them, perfect for a family. The home has three floors, a hot tub and a pool table for our guests to enjoy. There is a fire pit outside and a beautiful screened porch for sitting and relaxing. Great place to spend a weekend for Hawkeye Events. Very private area, no visible neighbors. A brand new Traeger grill is available for our guests. A piece of paradise awaits you here. A 10% discount will be given to guests who stay 7 days or longer.

Perfect country hideaway. Friends adult weekend with no kids. Guys spent most of the time enjoying fishing and kayaking the pond, hanging around the pool table and having a bags tournament. Ladies enjoyed the hot tub and having some quiet time to themselves to just read a book. Cabin is well stocked and the host was very gracious to us.

You can ask for no more! The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and comfortable and well supplied. The property is very secluded and peaceful. Plenty to keep the family busy between the kayaking, fishing and the trails. Last but not least the host were wonderful, Becky was great! We will be back!!!

A great place for our family to get together for a few days. Plenty of room for all of us. Large kitchen to make meals, large comfortable rooms to just sit around for conversation and play games. Beautiful property for morning walks. Highly recommend.

Our family (ages 50, 37, 33, 17, 17, 11, 10, 5) had the best time ever during our stay at this cabin. It was the perfect escape from the state of the world (including the pandemic). The cabin and estate was even better than the pictures could show. There's a master bedroom with en suite on the first level which we didn't see in the pictures - and that was perfect for our sized group. Some of us are high risk for COVID-19 and we were very worried about traveling, but Becky assured us there is a 3 day gap in between rentals and everything is thoroughly cleaned. In addition to the constant communication, she also left us homemade cookies, treats throughout the house, and the best breakfast bake I've ever had. The only possible negative was the internet is satellite (makes sense, you're in the middle of nowhere). But, it made a slight work emergency during our stay difficult to navigate. However, it is WELL worth it for the sounds of nature, the serene land, the wonderful accommodations. Just download some books ahead of your trip, you'll be good to go.
