We had a wonderful stay at Five Pines Lodge in Coudersport! The house was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in excellent condition. The kitchen was a real highlight, with new appliances and fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals with ease.We especially enjoyed the peaceful surroundings—hiking in the nearby woods during the day and gathering around the fire pit at night for s’mores, with plenty of dry wood provided. It made for such a cozy and memorable experience.During our stay, we also visited the Ice Mine, which turned out to be a fascinating hidden gem. It was a unique stop that added even more charm to our trip.Overall, this property exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay again when the opportunity arises and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Coudersport area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 3-acre lodge, locasted near the small town of Coudersport. Communications with the owner were easy, cheerful and informative. Check-in was simple, and there was ample parking for several cars. The house was neat and very clean. The living room is comfortable with a large flat screen television. The living room also has a gas heater and we were a bit skeptical it would heat the entire hourse, but were pleasantly surprised that during the chilly nights of our stay, it was more than capable. For colder nights, there are electric baseboard heaters in the bedrooms. The kitchen was adequately stocked. The full bathroom between the kitchen and a small bedroom was handy. Although it was just the two of us, we ended up staying in the larger upstairs bedroom because we preferred its softer bed. There's also a bunk bed and large TV. The upstairs 3/4 bathroom was clean, and the towels provided were soft and of good quality. When not out exploring the countless local hiking and bike trails, we relaxed in the covered patio listening to the birds. During our stay we watched deer stroll through the yard, squirrels playing, and even a porcupine. The owner also provided food to feed the fish in the pond. In short, we enjoyed our week chilling out, hiking, and visiting Wellsboro (about 40 minutes east). I think it would be an excellent choice as a base for winter sports.

My sisters and I rented the house as our home base while visiting the amazing state parks nearby. The location was wonderful and made it easy to go out every day to different parks and museums. The house was very comfortable for all of us with plenty of room to spread out. The weather was cloudy and rainy so we weren't outside in the yard often, but we certainly would have been if the weather had been better. There were plenty of notes and written rules provided upon arrival.

Although our stay was rainy and cloudy the entire week, we were able to get much needed rest. The place was very clean and quiet, and had all the amenities we needed during our stay. The deer in the yard were a treat to watch. We hope to come back especially when weather is more favorable for star gazing.
