Villa 300m from Beach - By Algarkasa

Quiet location in walking distance of the old town and the strip. Helpful host and simple check in process. Spacious bedrooms, great roof terrace and pool area.

Excellent Location between the old town and new town. Spacious villa. Comfortable beds. A few supermarkets/restaurants a few mins walk away. Very close to beach and you can walk along the boardwalk on the beach all the way to the old town. Taxis to old town/new town approx €5. Air con was great and pool towels provided were an added bonus.

The outdoor area was lovely. Excellent pool. Although there could be some improvement made to the tiled area which was a little dangerous around the pool as tiles were broken. It was spacious clean and a nice quiet area.

The beds were a little uncomfortable and the pillows could be replaced. There was nowhere to put any of your toiletries in the bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped but lacked a variety of glasses for beer, wine or drinks like gin and tonic. The villa just needed a little updating.

The villa is in a good location near to the beach, shops and restaurants. The villa is spacious with 4 very good sized bedrooms and the downstairs front room also has lots of room. There are 4 bathrooms, all the showers worked well with plenty of hot water. The beds were mostly comfortable, although very noisy when you turned or moved in bed. The wooden slats were broken on the double bed. The villa has a lovely pool, unfortunately it hadn’t been cleaned until after we arrived and therefore it took a couple of days for the sand in the pool to clear and for the water to become clear. There is air conditioning in each bedroom and downstairs front room. Although one unit in the front room was broken, the other units were all very efficient. The kitchen is small but well equipped.

First impressions are important, unfortunately there was a pair of man’s underpants on the ground in front of the entrance to the villa. I feel they should have been removed before any guests arrive. Cleanliness: The floor in the front room needed cleaning when we arrived, the villa smelt musty despite all the doors and windows open. There is an Ant problem, there were ants on the floor in the kitchen, also on the work tops and downstairs bathroom floors. Only one pillow per person was provided, these were old and of poor quality. Many of the towels were old and stained most probably from previous guests sunscreen. They would benefit from being replaced. One of the sheets was stained also. There are bars on all the downstairs windows and front room doors which is good for security but it may be difficult to get out in a hurry if there was a fire. Maybe a lockable gate at the entrance to the garden would be more practical. The provisions for guest on arrival were poor, a nearly empty coffee jar, some teabags and condiments but fresh tea, coffee, milk and a few bottles of water would be greatly appreciated after travelling. We had difficulty getting the TV to work but the owner provided a new remote control and contacted the tv provider to sort this for us.
