Emma Apartments

Everything was perfect.

We had a great stay at this apartment. The owner was very helpful, kind, and responsive throughout our communication by phone. The location is excellent, and the room was comfortable and pleasant. We especially appreciated the owner’s kindness in allowing us to leave our car parked for a few extra hours after checkout, which was a great help for us. Thank you for the hospitality. We would gladly recommend this place and stay here again!

Not much, it's not exactly in the centre, but I doubt there's anything at that price closer to the centre.

Excellent, friendly communication before and during stay. Central location. Excellent wifi. Easy check-in. Accurate, easy-to-follow check-in details. Very attractive room (Room 4). Balcony and comfortable outdoor furniture overlooking a lovely tree. Particularly comfortable bed; choice of pillow types. Both the room and communal kitchen were clean. The room smelt nice on check-in.

Although the room was clean, an ashtray full of cigarette butts was left on the balcony table. The communal anteroom - the carpeted space between the upper floor entrance and the doors for rooms 3-5 smelt very strongly of cigarettes throughout the stay. The shelves of the fridge needed a good wipe-down/clean. Most lights in the bedroom were not working, though this was partially rectified by the owner when we met up during the stay. For example, one bedside lamp had no bulb and the closest powerpoint hangs out of the wall by a couple of centimetres. Only one of three ceiling lights worked on check-in. The balcony light doesn't work (apparently there is an issue with the electrics). Similarly, the wash-basin light in the bathroom wasn't working (I couldn't work out why), though the main light is fine. Often communal kitchens are located away from sleeping areas. In this case, I felt uncomfortable continually walking in front of Room 5 to and from the kitchen and potentially disturbing the occupants whenever I used the kitchen.
