The house was very clean! I was impressed that the house had supplies such as soap, shampoo, tinfoil, basic seasonings, tea, and laundry soap guests could use. The only downside is the driveway, you can’t be scared and use low gear. We parked on the street a few times and it was fine.

The property is updated and well maintained. Views from the back deck are breathtaking! A warning about how the driveway is downhill and unbelievably steep would be helpfull as I wasn't sure my car would make it over the original curve downward without scraping the bottom, but it worked out ok. I could not have handled it in snow or ice. Every else was wonderful.

Bret was a responsive and the home suited our needs with an unparalleled view. As the other reviews say, the driveway is no joke. Our 2WD SUV struggled to get up the driveway after rain, but Bret was quick to respond that street parking was not a problem.

Driveway was no joke. Would recommend adding comment (in addition to existing comments) about keeping full tank of gas in vehicle. We let rental car get low and car kept dying due to slope. Got out on 4th try. Filled tank and had no issues. Thank you for the accommodations. Our trip was awesome!

House is great and comfortable. View is stunning. Kitchen has basic cooking supplies, couches are comfy, beds are extremely firm. Thankfull for the night light in the bathroom, plenty of fluffy bath towels. They have books and games throughout the family room. Great location, took about 15 minutes to get to downtown Asheville. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back!

This rental was very nice, clean, and close to downtown Asheville. The only thing that you should be aware of is that the driveway is very steep. You will need 4-wheel drive to get back up to the road from the house. I don’t think I would have tried to park in the drive or next to the house if it was raining, even with 4-wheel drive. There is a grassy area on the other side of the road that you could park at.

Only downfalls we’re the lockbox on the porch was a bit difficult to find, especially at night and the driveway being difficult to navigate.WARNING; Driveway was EXTREMELY steep..you really need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get out of it. We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee that’s not 4 wheel drive and my husband had a difficult time getting out of the driveway. There’s also not much space to park on the street. So If you have a car low to the ground I would caution you about this.

Our stay was excellent. The property was as described. Very clean and a nice view from the deck. As mentioned in other reviews, the driveway is very steep, however our regular sized SUV didn’t have trouble with it. I’m not sure how well a sedan would handle it. We had all of the information well ahead of our arrival making the process very simple. Not a bad drive at all to downtown, hiking or shopping. Great stay and would certainly recommend.

This is a lovely place with beautiful views on the deck that you can sit for hours getting lost in conversations and wine. The only part I do not recommend using is the driveway!!!! We got our car down (adrenaline) but had no guts to get it back up and had to ask a neighbor who was very sweet and helped us city girls and left it on the street for the rest of the weekend. I would love to come stay again and recommend to others.

My wife and I spent 6 nights in this home and we got to know it well. We expected as much due to the pandemic, but thanks to some car issues and then the remnants of hurricane Zeta, we spent a lot of time at the house. First, I'll start with the view from the back deck. Yes, it's in a neighborhood so you see houses, but to us that didn't take away from the 180 degree view of the mountains. When weather allowed, we spent late afternoons and early evenings out on the deck. We were just a tick late for peak fall colors, but it was still fun to watch sun and shadows play on the mountainsides. We ate most of our meals at the house and the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. Two bedrooms-one king, one queen-would sleep four comfortably, but the one bathroom is kind of small for more than two. The TV offers Roku and limited Netflix free with options for other streaming. No network television, which was a nice break during election season, but meant no World Series or NFL (at least I couldn't find them). The driveway is steep, but really only difficult to manage if you have a large vehicle. Smaller vehicles (we had a Subaru Cross Trek) can be turned around, but larger SUVs and trucks might have to back up the driveway and that could be tough. I would imagine ice or snow would be a serious issue. Finally, the location allows easy exploration of the Asheville area. We took a drive nearly every day. What a beautiful city and area.
