Studio Description:

Two private entrances to open area studio, with queen-size bed, full bath, TV, Internet, WiFi.

Dedicated garage parking included. Outdoor parking also available.

Kitchenette equipped for light cooking with a toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator, sink, dishes and utensils. An induction hot plate and cookware are available on request. Coffee, tea, water, fruit and snacks are provided for your arrival.

Dining area faces beautiful, mature cactus garden. There are stunning views of the Catalina and Rincon Mountains, including Thimble Peak, a geological feature of the Catalina Foothills.

Lots of backroads where you can spot desert wildlife. Studio is close to everything, yet, the surrounded by a natural, verdant desert. There is a trail that can be taken to McDonald Park, with views of the all mountains along the way.

The studio is located on the road to Mount Lemmon, a popular cyclists route. A ride by car or bike to the mountain top village of Summerhaven reveals some of the most breathtaking vistas in the country.

In Summerhaven, the elevation is 7,700 ft., and it is usually 25º cooler than Tucson! You will find running streams and ponds along hiking trails throughout the pine forested sky island, as well as great eateries.

Mount Lemmon Ski Valley is nearby. It is the southern-most ski resort in the United States!

Hike nearby Sabino Canyon or take the tram passed surprising swimming holes and streams running over or under 9 stone bridges.

Redington Pass has spectacular views along a trail that goes down to the falls, and the San Pedro River.

Colossal Cave Mountain Park is nearby, and offers several levels of guided tours through the natural wonder.

The San Javier Mission is a worthwhile visit. Then, take a desert-highway south and further back in history, to the mission at Tumacácori. Stop at the artisan village of Tubac to stroll through galleries, the art museum, to shop, eat and be entertained, southwest style.

Head north of the city to Biosphere 2, for a tour of their research in earth sciences, and on to the ruins of the nearly 700 year old Hohokum Palace in Casa Grande.

Visit the amazing Pima Air and Space Museum, Kitt Peak National Observatory, Madera Canyon or Patagonia Lake, The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Tucson Museum of Art, and the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures are a unique experience.

Experience desert wilderness in the Saguaro National Parks. Go to Gates Pass for spectacular sunsets. For cyclists, there are miles of paths surrounding the city, or the challenging Mount Lemmon!

Save a day for Tombstone, and the historic mining town of Bisbee.

The Old Pueblo is as relaxing or exciting as you make it. Take in the Tucson Museum of Art, and lunch across the courtyard at the eclectic Café á La C'Art. It's only steps away to the historic, and haunted, shops at the Old Town Artisans. The restored mansions of El Precidio Historic District, and the charming Sonoran vernacular adobe homes of Barrio Historico are within walking distance to downtown, which is famous for its eateries, shopping and entertainment.

Tucson is a major gastronomic star, with a lively local music scene, national and international music and theater. You'll find elegant casinos on the Pascua Yaqui, and Tohono O'odham Nations lands.

There are seasonal attractions like The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show - largest in the world. Tucson hosts events throughout the year including fairs. festivals, and the rodeo!
