Andrew was a really good host - friendly, accommodating, and generous. Always offered to go the extra mile, e.g. with a lift to work or to the station. The B&B is in a great location and made it a nice walk into work in the mornings

Was unable to access the property.

There was no breakfast, but to be honest we didn't want breakfast. The location of Victoria Guest House was ideal for what we needed.

Upon arrival I could not find anyone to advise which room we had or keys. After ringing the bell outside and indoors a gentleman appeared in what looked like his PJ's... he was cooking his tea in the kitchen. He was pleasant and explained the rules etc. However he then asked me to tell another guest the wifi code as they couldn't find the information book in their room. I didn't mind as the guest had moved their car to enable us to turn around and park. Parking is in a back courtyard behind the house. To access this you have to drive between 2 houses, the drive is extremely narrow with only 2 inches either side of my car, I had to close the wing mirrors to access the off street parking. The courtyard has room for 2 cars only. We were able to turn around as to reverse out would have been extremely tight. Another guest with a smaller car also found the access drive very tight. Unfortunately there were a number of issues in the bedroom. The shower room was relatively clean but the tap on the sink span round. The tiles around the toilet were cracked and breaking off the wall. The shower room window was very difficult to shut. The fridge and coffee/tea making was well stocked however I was unsure of how long the milk had been open as it was in a an open jug. The fridge condenser was noisy and hissed all night. The bed was adequate and bedding appeared clean. However when I got into bed the duvet smelt of B.O. It was the duvet and not the duvet cover... as I checked the actual linen. We left promptly in the morning. And although I looked for the man who had greeted us I couldn't find him. So I put the keys in the Key box and we left.

The room was very comfortable and warm. Andrew was welcoming and explained everything well. He even offered to give me a lift to and from the station, though I didn't need this. It's a change to have a fridge in the room, including fresh milk for tea and coffee.

I would have preferred the water in the shower to be a bit warmer.

Perfect location for where we needed to go and the Host, Andy, was very accommodating even taking us to the venue himself. Top Man!
