About this house rental
Magnieras gite is a beautifully restored farmhouse 2 bedroom gite, centrally heated with a good wood burner in the lounge. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are large and each en-suite, one with bath/shower and spare room/nursery/office, the other with a modern shower enclosure. There is a good size lounge/diner and a small kitchen with feature bread oven and table. There is a guest garden across a courtyard from the gite, perfect for lazing or dining. We keep horses, mostly rescued or looked after and we run a horse charity to advise and help laminitic equines. Facilities include double beds, washing machine, free WiFi (10Mb). In the kitchen there is a sink, an oven, fridge, microwave/grill and bread maker. Pets are welcome but please check first for suitability. There is a small extra dressing/infant room attached to the main bedroom.
A GR path runs right past the house from which you can begin all sorts of adventures. Not far away is a big lake with two man made beaches and many activities. There is a good selection of places to eat nearby and a big supermarket is about a 10 minute drive away. We often see foxes and deer, there are also badgers, boar and coypus. Birds include many herons, buzzards, kites and we think there is an osprey on the lake. For more information find our page.

Martin and Andrea were very welcoming and friendly hosts. The Gite had everything you needed and was very comfortable. Perfect for exploring the Charente area. We greatly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thanks again.

We have just arrived home from a 5 night break with our 2 dogs. The gite is lovely, has everything you can think of and more. The hosts were so helpful before and during our stay, really lovely people. Would definitely book again

Was a lovely surprise when we arrived to find all you needed to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee. The gite was really well eaquipped, spacious, beautiful bathrooms and superbly clean. Martin and Andrea were friendly couldn’t do enough to help. Loads of information on the area, walks etc, and all the books you would ever need to read. Would highly recommend it. ****
