About this house rental
Casa Isabella is 5 minutes walk from the centre of the the village of Malfa on the island of Salina, one of the seven Aeolian Islands off the north-west coast of Sicily.
Recently renovated to exceptional standards, this is the first season this property has been rented. Restored in typical Aeolian style with a contemporary twist, the two storey house sleeps two people.
The house has magnificent uninterrupted views over the ocean, including from the double bedroom, the two covered outdoor terraces and the front garden.It is bordered by grape vines on one side, olive trees to the other, and the ocean in front.
The double bedroom upstairs has a window overlooking the sea and also views back to Malfa, and has an en-suite bathroom and shower. Downstairs there is a large living area that opens onto a covered terrace which is perfect for entertaining, a modern eat-in kitchen opening to another terrace, and another bathroom with shower and washing machine.
The house is minimalist in design with resin floors and new fittings throughout. All bedding and bath towels are supplied (please bring your own beach towels), and the kitchen is fully equipped. The house is fully air-conditioned and also has heating for the colder months, as well as a slow combustion fire-place. The house has television and wifi, but no telephone. Mobile reception is good.
The house is a 5 minute walk from Malfa shops and village square, a 10 minute walk to Malfa port and a 15 minute walk to Punta Scario Beach. It has plenty of parking space for a car and/or scooters, both of which can be rented in Malfa.
Casa Isabella is perfect for a week, a month or the whole summer season! Minimum stay is 7 nights. Casa Isabella is also our holiday home, and we ask that you treat it as if it were yours. Upon arrival, we will supply a full information guide to the house, restaurants and other sites and services in Malfa, and the surrounding islands.
Cleaning fee is €50 and is to be paid in cash directly to the cleaner upon checkout.

The house was recently refurbished and is in ideal location to take advantage of both Malfa amazing seaside view and quite.

Die Casa Isabella liegt wunderschön mit einem traumhaften Ausblick auf das Meer. Die Außenanlagen sind sehr gepflegt und die beiden Terrassen großzügig.
Innen hat man in einem schön designten Ambiente viel Platz. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man zum Kochen benötigt. Ein Gasgrill auf der Terrasse rundet das Equipment ab.
Das Wohnzimmer bietet mit Fernseher (von uns nicht benutzt) und Mini-Stereoanlage gutes Entertainment. Eine reichhaltige CD-Sammlung mit viel klassischer Musik ist auch vorhanden. Die zwei Betten auf den seitlichen Bänken sind breit und eignen sich gut zum Schlafen.
Im Obergeschoß befindet sich das geräumige Schlafzimmer mit einem bequemen Doppelbett. Hier war leider die Klimaanlage defekt, aber der große und leise laufende Deckenventilator schaffte trotzdem genug Abkühlung.
Die beiden Bäder mit dem geräumigen Duschen waren sehr sauber und gepflegt.
Alle Fußböden, die Küchenarbeitsplatte, die Waschtische in den Bädern und sogar das Bett im Schlafzimmer sind aus einem speziellen Zement-Kunstharz Material gegossen. Das wirkt sehr stylish und homogen, erfordert aber auch eine gewisse Umsicht. Ein eventuell umgestoßenes Glas Rotwein könnte hier fatale Folgen haben, denn das Material saugt sich damit voll. Daher wird man auch im Vorfeld eindringlich ermahnt, Sorgfalt walten zu lassen.
Die Gastgeberin, die direkt nebenan ihr Feriendomizil hat, ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch das »Personal«, Haushälterin und Gärtner, sind aufgeschlossen und herzlich. Trotz nur rudimentärer Italienischkenntnisse unsererseits war eine Verständigung mit ihnen problemlos möglich.
Unser Fazit: Hierhin kommen wir gerne noch einmal zurück.
