About this house rental
Built in 2013 and refreshed not too long ago with new paint, carpet, and furnishings. Chalet on the Hillside holds a special place in my heart because it's our original home in the Mount Washington Valley. Everything feels intimate and cozy, like you're tucking into your own little mountain hideaway.
The Space
Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, perfect for families or small groups. The open-concept design with natural pine cathedral ceilings makes the space feel bigger than it is, and an indoor gas fireplace keeps everything warm and cozy during the winter months. There's also a one-car garage, which is handy on those snowy days.
The fully equipped kitchen has granite countertops, luxury KitchenAid appliances, and quality stainless steel cookware—plus I stock it with the basics like spices, sugar, flour, and condiments so you can actually cook without a trip to the store first. A Keurig Duo, toaster oven, and crockpot round things out nicely.
Your Outdoor Space
The 28' suspended deck is my favorite spot. It juts out surrounded by trees and makes you feel like you're floating in the forest. We've furnished it with a Polywood dining set and Adirondack chairs—perfect for morning coffee, meals together, or stargazing after a day of hiking. There's also a hardwired fire pit and Weber grill.
On the ground level, you'll find another private deck with a Nordic hot tub, perfect for those peaceful soak-under-the-stars moments. It's very intimate and secluded—and you feel tucked away from the world.
Why We Chose This Location
The home sits on a quiet, private road, but don't let that fool you—you're literally minutes from everything. After ten years of hosting here, I've watched families return summer after summer, skiers come back every winter, and hikers discover it's their favorite base camp in the valley.
You'll have easy access to:
Skiing & Adventures: Attitash (1.9 mi), Cranmore (7.8 mi), Wildcat (15.4 mi), Bretton Woods (22.6 mi)
Family Fun: Story Land (2.1 mi), Living Shores Aquarium (2 mi), Kahuna Laguna Water Park (8.4 mi), Conway Scenic Railroad (7.6 mi)
Outdoor Exploration: Diana's Baths (4.8 mi), Cathedral Ledge (6.3 mi), Black Cap Trail (8.6 mi), Kancamagus Highway (19 mi)
Dining & Shopping: Downtown Jackson (4.5 mi), Settler's Green Outlets (9.7 mi)
You also have access to our private association beach on the Saco River and a hiking trailhead to Mount Stanton right in the neighborhood. And if you've got friends staying at Trail's End, On Mountain Time, or Stowe Away, they're all just a short walk away in the same neighborhood.
Your Safety & My Philosophy
A Ring doorbell monitors the main entrance and a Ring security light monitors the driveway for your security. There are no interior cameras or recording devices anywhere on the property.
After hosting for a decade, I've learned that the best stays happen when guests feel genuinely welcome and respected. This is a family home, and I'd love to keep it that way—no events or parties, just good people enjoying time together.
