About this house rental
Fresh from completion in July 2026, Stowe Away is a brand new labor of love, and I have to say—it's special in ways I didn't expect.
The Name & Our Story
We spent 12 winters falling in love with the Mount Washington Valley, then five winters in Stowe, Vermont—beautiful, but not home. Coming back to the MWV for winters feels like coming home to us, so the name was obvious: "Stowe Away" is a little wink to the detour we took, and a celebration of finally being back where we belong.
This warm, cozy open-concept home has cathedral ceilings of natural pine and a mountain aesthetic that feels both brand new and timeless. But here's the thing that makes Stowe Away really unique: the beams and timbers throughout were milled from trees harvested right here on the property. It's like nature itself became part of the home's bones. Every time you look up, you're connected to this place in a way that's hard to put into words.
The Space
Three bedrooms that sleep eight comfortably, 3 1/2 bathrooms (a little extra luxury!), and a family room with an 65" TV for those rainy afternoons or movie nights. The whole layout just flows—nothing feels cramped or awkward.
The Farmer's Porch—A Gathering Spot
The wraparound farmer's porch is a place where you will spend lots of down time. It's outfitted with beautiful Polywood furniture—rockers and Adirondack chairs for lounging, a dining area for morning coffee, meals, or sunset wine, and everything built to weather the seasons. The Nordic hot tub is tucked behind a privacy wall with additional direct access from the master bedroom. There's also a fire pit and Weber grill for cooking up whatever sounds good.
Why We Chose This Location
After owning in this valley for almost 20 years, I can tell you: you couldn't pick a better spot. You're minutes from nearly anything and everything you came here to do and see.
You'll have easy access to:

Peace of Mind & My Philosophy
A Ring doorbell monitors the main entrance and a Ring security light monitors the driveway for your security. There are no interior cameras or recording devices of any type on the property.
After hosting for a decade, I've learned that the best stays happen when guests feel genuinely welcome and respected. This is a family home, and I'd love to keep it that way—no events or parties, just good people enjoying time together.
