Kolea 15J has been professionally decorated with amazing attention to detail! Standing out from the rest, this fabulous 2/2 penthouse is impeccably furnished with views of Hualalai and the fishponds of A Bay. Kolea 15J stands out from the rest! Both bedrooms are furnished with flat screen tv's. The master suite is furnished with a king bed and the guest suite has twin beds that can be converted into a king upon request. The deep soaking tub in the master bath sits under a skylight, a walk in shower and dual vanities are set in natural stone. The guest bath also has dual vanities and a tub/shower. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked, and dining table seats 6. Sink into the cozy cushions of the loveseat and sofa in the living area, which has a large flat screen and stereo system for your enjoyment. The lanai has 2 chaise lounges and a table for casual dining. An outdoor summer kitchen includes a Viking BBQ grill, beverage center and sink for a relaxing cookout.
Our guests at 15J gain full access to Kolea's amenities center consisting of a beautiful pool, a toddler's pool equipped with waterfalls, spa, fitness room and more!!
Located within less of a 1/4 mile from Kolea is the King's Shops and the Queen's Marketplace. Both provide a unique shopping experience, from local souvenirs, to your "island living" needs as well as some great places for entertainment and dining.
Kolea 15J has spared no expense with upgraded travertine floors throughout the living room, exquisite artwork, and beautifully tiled kitchen walls. The villa comes with cable, wireless internet and long distance calling to the 50 states. This is not your average vacation rental. The penthouse was beautiful, so well appointed in both rooms were spacious with en suite bathrooms. We loved how close it was to everything… A few steps to the pool, to the beach and to several great restaurants, the condo had all the things that you needed from chairs and towels for the beach to great kitchen appliances and amenities. You’re very grateful to stay in such a beautiful home.

Property is very well kept. Unit was clean and peaceful. It was packed full of furniture and would perhaps feel roomier with a bit less especially on the lanai. The location was perfect for us. Easy drive to beaches and walk to shops and restaurants. The pool and exercise area were beautiful and the staff there very nice and friendly. The only negative thing I can say is that we couldn’t get in the gate when we checked in either with the code or app, we tailgated in and the lock box to get in the unit worked perfectly. We never were able to get the app to work even with two different staff helping us, however, the fob in the unit worked great and we had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed here with our 2 teenage boys this February. The location is absolutely wonderful and very relaxing. The condo is exactly as described and extremely comfortable from the beds, couch to the lanai chairs. More than enough space for everyone to spread out. Lovely view from the lanai as well. Easy walk to A-bay, great for a day at the beach with a stunning sunset. I appreciated the sidewalks and bike lanes on the main road for my runs in the morning. Also a short walk (7-10 minutes to the stores king and queens market) I would highly recommend this rental if you are looking for a low key relaxing location on the Big Island.

This is our second year staying in the Kolea condo's and our first at this property. The condo is beautifully maintained and appointed, was clean and has a great view.
One thing you should know is they Vrbo listing says there is a king bed in the guest room, but it only had two twin's. That was a big issue and probably would have altered our decision had we known this up front. If it wasn't for that, I would have given 15J all 5 stars. Hopefully they will update the Vrbo listing with the correct information.
The other thing to know is there is a guest storage facility that has all sorts of fun stuff in it. We discovered this about half way through the trip. There is a well marked key on the key ring, but we just never went out there for a look.
