Location was great

It could be a little bit cleaner, and bathroom could use some renovation and bigger beds!

Location was great, close to the main attractions we wanted to visit. Clean apartment and spacious.

Advertised as air conditioned apartment which was one of the main reasons for choosing the apartment. However, the units were not working and when contacting the owners, they would not fix this until the week after we had left. No apology given, no offer of fans or a solution. We were so hot, the temperature outside was 28°C and no cooler inside, so we struggled to sleep and have a break from the heat for 3 days.

Logement idéalement situé, joli et bien chauffé. Les capsules de café à l'arrivée sont bienvenues et la réactivité de notre hôte.

J'aurais aimé qu'il y ait un lave linge et des torchons. La superposition des matelas du lit à baldaquin n'assure pas un confort optimal pour le dos.

The apartment is genuinely lovely, provided you can make peace with the snoring giant and the Italian Wi-Fi, two forces of nature that appear to operate on their own schedules. The owners deserve a special mention for their stoicism. Their entire customer-service philosophy fits in three words: "Oh, I'm sorry." Said with real feeling, and then the matter is considered closed, spiritually resolved, and in no way in need of actual repair. We arrived to a bathroom toilet lid already broken and a Wi-Fi network that existed mostly as a rumor. Eight days later, both were exactly as we found them. I have to admire the consistency. Marcus Aurelius would have booked here. As for the location: it's close to the center and to the university, which sounds great until you discover it's also the emptiest corner of Venice. Quiet? Absolutely. Come for the serenity, stay for the echo of your own footsteps. Would I stay again? Only if someone finally fixes that lid. And they will, right after they finish being sorry.

The Wi-Fi. Officially, there is Wi-Fi. In practice, it behaves like an Italian strike: absent most of the day, unannounced, and with total confidence. When you complain, the owner says "oh nobody had that problem" as if it helps to say that - and then he will assure you he wili"open a report..." and the network return like Lazarus after a day for two minutes, provided you stand within one meter of the router and make no sudden movements. The bed. The double-bed mattresses are not very comfortable, but they're fine. Sleep is overrated anyway, especially given the real problem: a gigantic heater in the bathroom that roars all day and all night in constant loops. It's like sharing a bed with a snoring giant. If you're not deaf or married for 45 years, this apartment is not recommended.
