Lorenzo (the host) was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment is big, there are all the amenities for cooking. There’s even a small bathtub. The apartment was convenient and we were happy to stay there. It is close by car to the Villa Monastero (there you have a covered city parking 🅿️), and if you drive for about 5 minutes in the opposite of Varenna old town direction you get to a little lovely beach. The car is recommended for the stay, otherwise you pay 12-15 euros for taxis to get back from Varenna old town (but you don’t have to pay for the parking in this case, so financially it’s almost the same).

The apartment was spacious and had everything you needed. Nice to be able to do laundry after many days around Italy. The view was outstanding.
The distance to Varenna or even fiumalatte was far without transportation. We rented Vespa.
