Beautiful location at the end of a long road, overlooking a large pasture that runs down to the sea
Too expensive for what is was, and the WiFi was completely and utterly unusable (<1MBps, I couldn’t load a basic webpage). As I booked this property specifically because of its 10/10 WiFi score, and needed to do remote work, this was unacceptable and extremely disruptive. The host just shrugged their shoulders. This issue needs to be explicitly called out in the listing to avoid issues for future guests. I ended up driving around the region looking for car parks with good cell signal in order to take my zoom calls in the middle of the night (because all bars and restaurants in the area close early). For anyone who is similarly duped, I finally found out, after driving around the region for 3 nights, that theres a turnout just at the crest of the hill about 100M up from the house, that is a sweet spot on the Vodafone network, but EE is no good there and the Vodafone signal quickly degrades in either direction, so if that doesn’t work, you need to drive into Dunvegan (20min). I strongly recommend the hosts invest in upgrading their network, it’s not, as they stated, a foregone conclusion that the internet in their area is bad, they can achieve significant improvements with the right ISP, equipment, and equipment placement (distance from router to room, etc)

A true gem! We booked last minute and couldn’t have chosen better. Cosy, spacious, and hosted by a lovely, friendly owner. The location is a bit off grid but still fantastic. Stormy weather during our stay added to the charm! No kitchen, but enough equipment for a couple of days. Absolutely recommended!

The room is spacious, the view is stunning and Peter was really helpful.
The place is quite remote and the welcome pack which included cereal, chocolate, bread and milk was invaluable.
The table with the toaster could be slightly larger.
