Chambre d'hôtes Le Cascadou

Le Cascadou has a homey feel. I guess that the owners had an old house and converted it to a hotel. It is decorated with rustic farming pieces and local art on the walls. I as offered a sandwich when I arrived at 10 pm tired and hungry. The room was clean and tidy. Nothing fancy but design and decoration showing that someone really thought about what they wanted the guest to experience - the beautiful area and the rich history of this farmhouse. Breakfast was delicious in the cozy kitchen/dining room. I was greeted by the house dog with a quick sniff and a wag of his tail before he disappeared into a corner. The bread was very good and a good selection of jams, along with yoghurt, fruit, juices, coffee/tea and an egg cooked to your liking. No shuttling back and forth to a huge buffet just simple, good quality served by the proprietor. I noticed that none of the other guests took out a phone. Middle-aged strangers sat together at a long table and made small talk. I would definitely stay at Le Cascadou again.

Route un peu passante et du coup un peu bruyante au pied du lieu mais probablement du à la période estivale...

Etablissement situé dans un cadre champêtre a proximité d'une sortie de l'A75, donc idéal pour une nuit d'étape. très bon accueil de la part de l'hôtesse. Charme rustique du décor mais tout le confort moderne. Bon petit déjeuner en table d'hôte.

Je regrette de ne pas avoir réservé pour le diner du soir car j'aime l'ambiance des tables d'hôtes.
