Summer Place Game Reserve is an exceptionally beautiful, pristine 3,600-hectare bushveld paradise that offers the ultimate upmarket escape. The place impressed us from moment one when Monique provided outstanding service, answering all our questions immediately after our booking and following up with all the relevant information. From the moment you arrive, the reception is warm, welcoming, and hospitable, setting a wonderful tone that is carried through by an incredibly well-trained team. It must be rated 5 star. A special mention must go to the amazing lady Petunia at dinner who single-handedly ran the entire restaurant as both waitress and bartender with absolute perfection. We stayed in the Hideaway Cottage, a fully erected safari tent so modern and upscale on the inside with top-tier bedding and premium linen that you completely forget you are under canvas. The outdoor deck and area is meticulously maintained, featuring two sun loungers, a massive fire pit, a unique coal-heated bath, ( kol kol) and free-roaming wildlife like antelope and warthogs strolling right past. The main lodge area is fairy-tale beautiful, boasting an old colonial charm with a mesmerizing main pool, a baby pool, and a humongous curio shop filled with stunning artifacts. Whether you choose to enjoy guided game drives or stay active by jogging and mountain biking with their provided trail map, the absolute privacy and total absence of road noise make this a flawless, peaceful getaway. Food good value but costly. Grounds well kept

Our neighbour's played loud music. After phoning staff who came and spoke to them, not a problem.
