The property is historic & quirky. The entry lounge area & open fire make a welcoming atmosphere. The bed was big & comfortable (probably a little too big for the size of the room) & the bathroom roomy. (Its been ages since we showered in a bath without a shower screen or curtain!). The breakfast was good & plentiful.
We liked the quirkiness of the property but just felt, in comparison with other properties we stayed in, it did not quite justify the price.

breakfast pretty good
no proper shower in bathroom - the bathroom itself was easily large enough to have one. As it was there was just a hand held shower attachment on the tap but no screen or curtain so bathroom soaked
