Dimora del Pescatore - Holiday House

Host was excellent. Location was central to the best part of Cefalu. A/C was very good and the soundproofing was effective. Sheets and towels were changed midway through the week

We stayed at Dimora del Pescatore in Cefalù and would rate it a 10++++—by far the best apartment we experienced during our 27 days of travel in Italy. The host, Dario, was absolutely amazing, and the attention to detail in the apartment was unmatched. When we arrived, we were welcomed with water, wine, snacks, and fresh fruit waiting for us, which immediately made us feel at home. Because the old town of Cefalù is traffic-free, parking is not possible directly at the property. However, we parked at the port, which was about a 15-minute walk, and it worked out perfectly. The location of the apartment is ideal—right in the heart of the city and only a few steps from the beach. You truly cannot ask for a better spot. The apartment itself is large and looks like it has just been remodeled, a beautiful modern space set within the charm of the old city. It is stylish, fresh, and extremely well thought out. It also has a small outdoor courtyard in the back, which was perfect for washing and hanging our clothes during our stay. Even though it is located on one of the main streets, the bedrooms are at the back of the apartment and very quiet, allowing for excellent sleep. It was also beautifully prepared with everything you could possibly need. Even small thoughtful touches like Q-tips, cotton swabs in the bathroom, and beach umbrellas were provided, showing just how much care Dario puts into the guest experience. We truly want to thank Dario for everything—his hospitality made this stay unforgettable. We loved everything about Dimora del Pescatore and honestly wished we had booked more than two nights. It was exceptional in every way and easily the highlight of our trip.

The location is fantastic- 3 minutes to the water and 3 minutes to the Duomo. The apartment is spacious and spotless with 2 en-suite bathrooms, and full amenities in all rooms. Laundry machine with outdoor clothes line was available which is fantastic for beach towels, etc. Fruit, snacks and bottles of water were a welcoming addition! Dario and his mother run an excellent vacation home. I highly recommend.
