Love the home and the land. Great area for walking and there's a beach! Just a few minutes walking distance but what a hidden gem. The home owners were awesome and very responsive. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Stayed here for a week with family - 9 adults, two toddlers, and a 6 month old. Things we liked: 1) kitchen is loaded with dishware/utensils/etc. We cooked for ourselves everyday and at no point needed anything what wasn't already available. 2) All bedrooms were upstairs so it was nice to put our 6 month old down for naps without any risk of being woken up by two toddlers that were a ball of energy the whole trip. Rooms are far enough away where noise didn't travel - it's a big house. The yard space and walk to the beach is pleasant. Lots of towels, etc. Definitely one of the most stocked houses I've stayed at in terms of essentials. Can literally arrive with clothes only and you'll be set. The host was great and extremely accommodating. She allowed us to come in a night early since no one was staying before us, so that really helped with checking in. Truly an awesome host. Some gripes - this is more personal preference as for some this isn't an issue (for some maybe even appreciated) - the house is old. Aside from a somewhat modern kitchen and two renovated bathrooms, everything else is old. Like, really old. Don't expect any new or modern finishes in any other rooms of the house. It's old, it's dark, it has "character". The beach, while very private, beautiful, and easily accessible, is a typical new england rocky beach. That didn't keep us from going there everyday, but it's not a "toes in the sand" kind of beach. Lots of rocks and seashells. All in all a good stay.

I cannot say enough about this property: this house feels like you are stepping right into an English countryside rambling old home. It is truly a special place that beautifully accommodated our elderly parents, our adult children, and everyone else, all the way down to some very busy toddlers. We had big family dinners every night: the modern open kitchen made it a breeze to prepare meals, and the dining room was a joy to gather in every evening. We had rainy days when we were cozy in the big rambling house playing games and sunny days when we lounged and played outside in both the front and back yards. The beach is a lovely walk away down meadow paths. The swimming is as great as the views. The house exceeded our already high expectations given the description and the owner was a delight to work with. I highly recommend for any large group.
