Villa Kanalos - Family Villa with Private Pool & Stunning Views, by ZanteWize

The location was very beautiful. It was remote and very quiet. A rental car is needed as shops, beaches and most restaurants require a drive of about 15 minutes. A small and cosy restaurant is in walking distance from the villa. We arrived very late the first day but were still able to take a nice dinner to our villa. The villa is very well maintained and includes a nice swimming pool. Most important was the very welcome and support we had from Nicola and his family. Nothing we asked was too much.

Villa very quiet with a fantastic view to the sea and the mountains. It looks like the photos on the website. The hosts are really attentive to the comfort of their guests and they clean the outside & the swimming pool every morning. The inside of the villa is also cleaned regurlarly. The terrase is very comfortable with the swimming pool just close to it and spaces for lunch & diner outside. You definitively need a car but is it at 10 mn from Zante and 20 mn from nice beaches. We had very pleasant family holidays at Villa Kanalos and we will come back if we can.

The swimming pool is not so big (something like 3.5x7) and the depth is limited to 1.40m

I can't imagine how this could have been better. Secluded but only 10 minutes from Kalimaki and Zante Town by car, the villa has a panoramic vista across a rural landscape and out to sea. It is surrounded by olive, almond, walnut and pomegranate trees and is appointed to a very high standard. It really is as good as it looks in the pictures. The hosts could not have done more and the local taverna (owned by relatives of the villa owners and a 5 minute walk along a private, well lit road) was superb. Wonderful people, great value, great views and the best Greek food I've had - the meat and vegetables come from the farm the villa overlooks, so this reminded me of the early years of Monachyle Mhor in Balqhuidder. We have already rebooked for next year. One of the best (if not the best) family holidays we have had. I could not recommend it more highly.
