About this apartment rental

In the heart of Trastevere, in an area that is bursting with restaurants, museums, bars and handcraft boutiques, this little apartment offers a safe haven from the rumblings of the lively neighbourhood. The area is one of the most animated of the city centre and offers temptations and distractions of any kind to satisfy culinary, cultural and artistic curiosities.

The one bedroom apartment can comfortably host up to four guests, two in the bedroom with the queen size bed and two on the generous convertible sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom has a double access both from the living area and from the bedroom, ensuring utmost privacy also in case of several guests. The living room is an open space and with the fully equipped kitchen creates a smart space for cosy cooking evenings, with fresh produce from the nearby farmers markets on Campo de’ Fiori or in Piazza San Cosimato.

The area is well connected by public transport, with several tram and bus lines connecting it to the Imperial Forum and the Vatican City. Other interesting neighbourhoods, such as Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori and the Pantheon are but a short stroll away.

There's a lot to tell about this place:Pros:- Characteristic Italian apartment with nice details - high ceilings, nice doors and windows, old and ample closets. T - Comfortable master bed and living room- Adequate kitchen (larger stove and fridge than I've seen in other places is a plus)- Being in busy Trastevere, this apartment is tucked away on a quieter street which is very nice.Cons:- Sofa pull-out bed is not comfortable. I would stay again with only 2 or maybe 3 people. The couch is fine for a 3rd person who doesn't mind sleeping on a couch.- The apartment is fairly clean. But doesn't have the perfectly polished gleam that you might expect in a hotel. Fine for my family, but might not be for the more particular.- There seems to be a venting problem with the plumbing that makes the bathroom smell a little like sewage gas. I'll message the agency as they might be able to address this. - Trastevere is a very busy (and heavily touristed) neighborhood with a lot of late night crowds. I enjoy the lively scene, but someone who prefers a quieter scene might not enjoy this.- Trash and recycle collection and street sweeping seem to happen every day. It is very loud starting at about 4 AM and it seems to take a long while on this street. In my experience you'll get this on just about any street or piazza that has restaurants and night life in Rome, but it does seem to take particularly long on this street.

The location is fantastic, close to everything you want to see and do in Rome. Being in an active and fun location does come with the usual noise of late night excitement and trash pick up at 3 am. Easy to overlook for what the location brings. If this is an issue bring ear plugs. I would stay here again.

The host and Flavio were helpful in every predicament I encountered. Hospitality is in their DNA. The property was clean and well priced for the location. If you decide to stay in Trastevere this charming retreat is off the beaten path and lends itself to an authentic and restful stay in this bustling neighborhood. Tony

Place is nothing fancy. Pictures look better than actual experience.
