Great location,very nice apartment!

Great location,with a wonderful view of the lake, the apartment is big and has all the things you need to cook,2 badrooms, 2 shower rooms which are very convenient for a family. The apartment is well equipped with an oven, large refrigerator, electric stove, dishwasher, coffee machine, and there is also a shared washing machine on the entrance floor. There is a private underground parking lot. We liked it very much!

You need to take and to return the key for the apartment from a hotel near buy.

Make sure you get what you expect

Apartment 11 (which we were moved to after complaining about Apartment 12), was spacious, comfortable and had a great view of the lake. More importantly, it resembled the photographs that we were sent of the apartment we had booked. Even the staff had to agree that the photographs we received did not look like Apartment 12, which is the reason they moved us.

We were originally given Apartment 12, which was tiny and did not look like the photographs we were sent of our apartment after booking. I have attached photos of Apartment 12.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Exclusive Suites Riva, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into it I was impressed by everything especially the view. The location couldn’t be more ideal. Apartment is spacious and clean.

Great location for a relaxing break

This was our second visit to the apartments and again we were really impressed by the space and again the views of the lake were stunning. The location is great for restaurants and bars and a short walk will find you spoilt for choice. The apartment we booked was a 2 bed with a large bathroom and living space with a small kitchen well enough equipped for our stay. I would highly recommend these apartments for a relaxing break and we will definitely return.

The electronic lock on the door was a bit temperamental and didn’t have any instructions as how to operate.

Great location and reasonable suite (but not quite 'exec' quality

Location, underground carpark, clean rooms (but not sheets) view.

No proper oven, grubby and stained bedspreads, safe didn't work (and nothing done to resolve even though we told reception within a couple of hours of arrival. Several lights didn't work or were wired wrong (lounge one turned bedroom on /off)

Fantastic location, beautiful apartment

At our arrival, the keys needed to be picked up at the hotel on the other side from the pedestrian zone. I gave them a short call at our arrival and they told that they can register the license plate from your car, so that you can drive inside the pedestrian zone to pick up the keys. Once arrived at the reception of the hotel, they informed us that we got an upgrade from a regular flat to the loft (apartment N°10). We then drove to the Riva Suites building, hoping our long car (4,96m) would fit inside the elevator to access the underground parking; which it luckily did. There were about 10 to 15cm gap yet. From the garage we used the surprisingly quick elevator to get to the 3rd floor. Entering the loft (the key needs to be inserted horizontally, 90° turned compared to a normal door), we were overwhelmed by the sheer size of this flat and the breathtaking view on the lake. The kitchen is very nice and has a full-sized fridge with a desk-sized freezer, and everything else we needed; including a dishwasher. The bathroom is nice and the beds are very comfortable. The best thing about the place are the huge windows and the view on the lake, which is even better from the balcony. If the windows are closed, the noise from the road is very minor and didn't disturb us from sleeping. If you are booking a flat, the best apartments are N°5, 6 on second floor and 9, 10 on third floor. The ground floor and first floor apartments don't have a good view and the noise from the road is louder. AC is working perfectly. The dustbins are just outside near the garage-elevator entrance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will come back next year.

Overall the apartment wasn't very clean. The floor didn't get wiped before our arrival, they passed just shortly with a vacuum cleaner: We didn't walk in shoes inside the flat, but had black feet after 5 minutes. There was some hair from the previous guests in the bathroom and in the kitchen. The balcony didn't see any cleaning for several weeks, as it seems. We arrived a little bit earlier than 2:00PM, perhaps they hurried up to finish the cleaning so that we could get inside. The power outlets are badly fixed in the kitchen and if you try to unplug something, you will remove the complete thing from the wall. A lot of little details are disturbing: there is an orange pvc pipe in the ceiling, looking like a sewer pipe, just uncovered hanging there; the tiles in the shower are badly cut and the water tap isn't completely covering the holes. The sewer pipe under the kitchen sink is dripping. The loft has metallic stairs and a kind of gangway with wooden panels as the steps; the steps are fixed with screws, but the panels on the gangway are not and are therefore extremely noisy when stepping on them. As there are no doors to the sleeping rooms, it is impossible to not wake up somebody walking downstairs for using the bathroom. The absence of the doors is also reducing your privacy completely if you are travelling with children for example. The parking place in the garage is connected to the apartment number and the "best" apartment (N°10, the loft) has gotten one of the worst parking spots: if we put our car with the passenger side at 2-3cm from the wall, it almost wasn't possible to open the door on the other side if somebody parked near.

We liked the location - city center is a few steps away, balcony with the lake view is amazing - we loved to sit there and observe busy street life and the lake scenery. In the afternoon the balcony is in the shade so luckily it is possible to sit there. Appartement is spatious, comfortable, nice and modern. It was very convenient to have two bathrooms. We appreciate that both bedrooms in the appartement we stayed in are facing quiet backyard, light-proof curtains are great as well - we had a very good sleep during the entire vacation.

Kitchen was poorly equipped - we missed spatula, scissors, grater, mugs, ceramic bowls for cereals and salads… Missing kitchen towels were a surprise, so we had to buy paper ones. One cutting board was not enough to work with and knives were of poor quality (the black finish was peeling off while cutting). Large dishwasher does not make sense with such a small amount od dishes. There was a limescale in the electric kettle so we rather cooked water in a pot. Missing drying rack is a failure, the only place to dry wet swimsuits and towels are balcony chairs. There could be a sun shade on the balcony, it would be much comfortable to sit there in the morning and around noon, the glass on the window would not overheat and radiate heat into the living room. Rather than having the air condition running all the time, that could be a less expensive way to maintain a comfortable temperature in the living room. Blankets looked old.

Very disappointing apartment and poor attitude of staff

I liked the microwave

It was completely filthy. My feet stuck to the floor as I walked across it. I had to clean the floor with a cloth on the first day. It took hours it was so dirty. The hotel sent over a cleaner who arrived with a chemical smell cleaner and asked me what I wanted her to clean. I felt totally ripped off by this hotel apartment.

Would be better if Tv was a smart tv with apps like Netflix. Kitchenette not very well equipped ;Not a lot of utensils for cooking with (spatula etc), no kitchen towels for cleaning up etc. This would have been necessary as I needed to cook my meals due to special dietary requirements. No remotes for controlling temperature available in apartment. A lot of ants were crawling around the kitchen worktop!

It was an incredible stay and experience.

Marvelous view. Fantastic location. So easy to access the ferry and walk to all the restaurants and shops. Less croweded than some of the other towns on the north lake. Fantastic apartment. Fantastic value. Terrific to have the parking available and easily accessed.

Bed could have been more comfortable. The reception desk at the Grand Hotel could have been more helpful and friendly.

Fantastic

We have stayed in Riva many times in hotels but opted for these apartments as we had seen them before covid struck and said we would book as soon it was possible to do so. I have to say that it was worth the wait! The nicest apartment I’ve ever stayed in with fantastic views of the lake and mountains. As they were part of the Grand hotel were could have had breakfast there every morning but did only once as we don’t eat much in the morning but have to say it had an adequate choice and catered for everyone. Our apartment was located on the second floor and we were taken aback by the car lift to the parking level, it was a first for us and was and brilliant idea! The apartment itself has everything you would need, and after I requested the use of an iron I had a message explaining where the iron/ and ironing board were located downstairs, I had also requested 2 wine glasses and we got them within the day. I will definitely be booking this again as the location was so convenient. We throughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return.

Maybe some communication from the hotel with regards any questions we had instead of having to chase these up but it’s only a minor gripe.

Passable

Location was great, very close to the main square, but very quiet. Decent breakfasts in nearby hotel which was a nice suprise.

Room was not cleaned properly before our arrival (hapf empty bottles of soap and beer where lying around on the floor, the aircondition was not working, the hall leading to the apartments was dark ( lights were not working) and dirty towels were laying on the floor., next to the doors of our apartment. In our bathroom we found small skorpions! which are apparently happening in the area ...but should they happen in Luxury apartments? When we mentioned that to the hotel stuff the aircon was fixed and some but not all light were fixed. Overall, even knowing that Italian standard is usually lower than in other countries, it was, in this case, much too low and far from Luxurious!

Noisy but good location.

Spacious apartment with two comfortable bedrooms, clean, modern bathroom, kitchen and storage. Balcony overlooking the lake. Central position within easy reach of main town, beaches and restaurants. Complimentary continental breakfast at the Grand Hotel Riva about 8 mins walk away..Parking in underground garage on site.

Next to a busy, loud main road. Balcony overlooked road. No housekeeping provided. Sheets not changed for week of stay. Had to request towel change. Difficult to check in as no instructions given to find the Grand Hotel Riva where the keys needed to be collected. Lighting in communal areas poor. Smart lock on door very temperamental.

The photo isn't a proper representation, the apartment is NOT sound proof .( like trying to sleep on the main road in fact it is on the main road) clean towel have to be requested from the Hotel only every 3 days sheets once a week.
