Clean, tidy if a bit utilitarian.

The location was spot on, alas though a bit too close to the early morning church bell ringers, a very enthusiastic bunch…😂 Flexabilty on departure time and a long breakfast service was appreciated by tired sore ski bodies…!

The breakfast could have been a bit more varied, and a better selection of hot food, maybe some eggs other than just boiled, some bacon and sausage would have been good. Austria has some lovely artisan breads, some on dhow would have been nice..The towels in the bathroom have seen better days, need replacing.

It was a good stay overall, the rooms were renovated and it looks good.

It was a good stay overall. The rooms were renovated and looked great. The breakfast was simple, but the restaurant was excellent. The location was convenient — just about a 10-minute walk from Schladming Bahnhof.

There was no water heater or coffee maker in the room, which would have been a nice addition and helpful for making hot coffee or tea in the room.

Highly recommend! I will book this hotel again when I am in Schladming. Amazing location, very close to the railway station and restaurants on the main street. Super close to Planai tolstation which was great. And bus stop is also very close and makes it easier to go around when you are traveling without a car. Room was super new, it exceeded our expectations. It was really big and bathroom was big too and you could see mountains and forest from the bed- which was amazing to jsut lay and look at the nature. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was super clean too. Breafast was good as well-typical Austrian one with pretty big variety of hams and cheeses. Thank you!

no kettle in the room, but I think you can take it at the reception as there was a coffee machine.

Amazing wonderful lovely

Very welcoming, helpful and smiley stuff. Very good breakfast. Great location. Clean rooms. Just amazing

It would be useful to have a sign ‘do not disturb’ or ‘no cleaning needed’ on the door. I stayed 3 days and didn’t need cleaning at all. It’s unnecessary strong chemical smell after cleaning as well. (I tried to explain to the housekeeping lady first day, she seemed to understand but the next day my room was cleaned again while I was at breakfast) Stupid to complain about too much cleaning so it is more of a good to have:)

Excellent and welcoming Easter stay in Schladming.

The hotel is well located in the center of the old town, just a 7 minute walk to Planai where you can store your skis and boots in a locker for 9 euros per day. Breakfast was fine with cold cuts, breads,. fruit, yogurt, muesli and boiled eggs. The hotel's restaurant has great pizza and lasagna and a good Weiner Schnitzel...salad too was tasty. The other nights I ate burgers at Maria's Mexican which is Wirth a visit. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and easy-going, giving a particular nod to the property manager, Janett, and to waiter, Frank, who was always there to serve up a good dinner with a smile and a wonderfully jovial sense of humor!

The mattress was a little soft but not to a problematic degree. I moved to the other side of the bed and it was better. Scrambled eggs for breakfast are always my favorite during a ski trip, but if the hotel doesn't serve them I don't bother asking, so not really a negative, just an observation. :-)

Great cozy ski stay.

Great location at the heart of Schladming. Good facilities for ski storage and boot drying. Really nice and friendly and attentive staff. Restaurant Wintergarten offers nice meals, pizza, pasta etc for a good price. Breakfast variety excellent. Bathroom has a lot of storage space.

Need to think hard but maybe having some hooks in the room to hang jackets and skiing clothes would be good. If you don’t have a car you need to be aware that you need walk a few minutes to either the ski bus stop or further to the lift station.

Perfect place in Schladming Center close to ski lift

Location is great, 3 walking min from the city center and 10 walking min from the ski lift. The staff is extra friendly. The breakfast was very good. There is a free parking place. The room is large and comfortable.

Perfect pick for Schladming

Lovely and cosy accommodation right in the heart of town. Nice room with balcony, very good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was super clean, bathroom also, hair drier is provided on room, wifi perfect, paking as well, restaurant and bar at the hotel with nice offer of food and drinks. We had a nice times there.

Room could be a bit bigger but we had everything we needed :)

It was very good value for money; fine for short stay - lack of drawers would otherwise be taxing.

Good and plentiful breakfast; clean and modern room, good outlook with balcony. Good bathroom with hot water.

Route to outside sleeping quarters unattractive, past urinals! 4 flights of stairs and no lift with heavy luggage difficult, but excellent staff helped.

Superb

The personnel of this hotel is its greatest asset. Everyone was very friendly, willing to help and did a great job. This made our stay very pleasant despite few disadvantages (see below). They speak many languages wich is an advantage as well. They also prepared a nice surprise for us. We want to thank them for their attitude. 👍🏻❤️ The cuisine was very good, rooms were clean and cosy and the hotel is well located.

The shower corner was leaky. Few remote controllers for TVs had exhausted batteries (no time for TV anyway 🙂).

A great place to stay on your way up to the mountains.

We were looking for someplace to rest after a full day of driving to Austria, and before starting our multi-day hike, and Hotel Wintergarten delivered all we needed. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the breakfast simple but plentiful, and the hotel offers free parking places, which is quite helpful in a town with parking restrictions.

Really excellent breakfast every morning. Great restaurant also for the evening, very popular with a good atmosphere.

The beautiful Old Town streets of schladming are narrow, sound travels, and sleeping with the window open, a front facing room would pick-up the occasional reveller. But this wouldn't put me off staying here again.

Great ski trip

Staff friendly and helpful. Welcome excellent when arrived early checked in and offered breakfast. Busy restaurant but accommodated us even when we hadn’t booked. Evening meals good particularly pizza. Room in annexe great for family, WiFi good, modern rooms and bathroom. Breakfast standard but good Küchen. Good location for Planai lifts (and lockers), restaurants and central shops.
